Flying Southwest so it is important to check in at exactly 24 hours in advance. If using Disney's resort airline services, can/should I notify them not to check us in (if so, how to notify)? Or if they try to check us in and we have already done so will they be notified as such? Hoping others have Southwest experience and can share thoughts.

I do not believe they will check you in even if you wanted them to. Definitely not at exactly 24 hours, they way you want! (I mean to the second!)

I always set my alarm for five minutes before checkin, and take a 5 minute break from whatever I am doing the park to check myself in on my phone. I love playing the SW checkin game, and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it for me.

DME will automatically print your boarding passes. They will be in an envelope on your door the night before checkout.

I can only speak to my experience, but Disney has done our 24 check in for us. I was super surprised but they did. Granted, we haven’t flown SW in about 5 years but Disney did it for us.

They will check you in but don't necessarily do it at 24 hours, just about then. If you have done it at 24 hours it won't make any difference. They can't check you in again or anything. It will just be the same boarding position you obtained at 24 hours. If, by chance, you hadn't checked in yet, they'll get it.

I pay for EBCI for everyone in our party so I don't have to worry about it when we are at a park.

I bought early bird check in for my son & I - does this mean i don’t have to worry about anything other than checking it at RAC?

you still want to do the "check in" process after 24 hours, just doesn't matter when you do it. The boarding position will already be assigned by ECBI. I still don't wait for ME to do it

This is what I do as well. For me, it's well worth the extra cost for the 4 of us to not have to worry about checking in right at the 24 hour mark. I actually pay for EBCI both ways just so I don't have to worry about it at home as it's easy to get distracted doing last minute things before we leave the next day.

We did not receive boarding passes at Pop. That is the first time I have not received them.

You don’t have to do the checkin process when you have ebci.

What leads you to think they would check you in?
They won't. That is all up to you.

They have indeed.

We were there 4 weeks ago and I forgot to check into Southwest until 30 minutes past my "24 hour mark" and I was disappointed in myself that I had forgotten. I logged in to do it, and Disney had already checked us in. We had mid B boarding orders and I was thrilled. This is not the first time that Disney has checked me into Southwest, so they will definitely do it. There is no guarantee that it would be exactly at 24 hours though.

Is this a new thing then?
I've used RAC/DME I believe 13 times now and soon to be 14 and NEVER have they checked me in.
I've forgotten as well or could not do it right at the time because I was in the middle of something and I've never been checked in.
Depending on the time of check in vs when they go door to door with DME envelopes I've received a boarding pass but never ever been checked in.
BTW I've flown SWA every time.
