Flight canceled :( Need to reschedule FPs

What a nightmare today has been. We were supposed to be on a plane to Disney World right now. But thanks to the snow, we're still in Ohio and won't be leaving until Monday. We shifted our entire vacation back two days but now that means I've got 2 days worth of ADRs and FPs that I booked as soon as the windows opened that have to be canceled and I have to hope that we can still get some decent FPs for our additional days. I've already checked the ADRs and I can't get them rescheduled for any day during our trip. :(

Anyways, my question: I'm contemplating changing our entire itinerary. But I can't find a way to look at what FPs are available without canceling the ones that I already have. Which I DON'T want to do. For example, I have Wednesday FPs scheduled for Hollywood Studios... I'd like to see what FPs I can get booked for MK that day, but I get a message that says these existing FPs will be replaced.

If I click ok, will I still hang onto those HS FPs until I actually select the MK FPs??

It's confusing and a little nerve wracking, but go ahead and go through the process of "changing" your current FP.....it will let you see what is available and choose new ones (if you want).....it will then ask you to confirm that you want to cancel the old and keep the new.....if you want to, then accept, if not, just cancel. If you don't confirm it doesn't change them.

And sorry to hear about the cancelled fight. My teenage daughter is actually sitting at the Dallas airport (left at 6am this morning from Phoenix) trying to get to Washington DC for Civic Leadership Academy (a very prestigious week long event that has only 24 participants out of the country...meeting with CIA/FBI/Congresspeople, etc). She has been rebooked three times, so far, and the most recent is supposed to get her into Washington at nearly midnight.....not exactly the safe flight I had booked for her. Sigh....I do NOT miss that weather at all (grew up East Coast).

ConnieB is correct. The best you can do is go through a "mock" process of changing your FPs to see what you can get. If you like what you see, accept the changes. If you don't like what you see, keep what you have. Hope all goes well for you.

Sorry to hear it OP. Hope you can get some of the missed Fps for your new dates.

Thanks for the help guys. Checked everything out & decided not to make the changes and it's all good. :)

And I actually managed to get all the FPs we lost on the first two days of our trip scheduled for the last two days of our trip. Our itinerary isn't really in the order that I prefer or think is best, but we're doing all the parks & have all the FPs I wanted so at this point, I'm not complaining.

Now, if only I could have had the same luck with our ADR's. womp womp

That's great. As someone who is staying off site and will only have FP access 30 days out, I'm curious what FPs you were able to get with such little lead time.

Keep checking for the ADRs....remember that you aren't the only ones having trouble flying....so others may be cancelling their entire vacation if they can't adjust the dates like you. And to avoid that fee for not showing, some of those in the parks already may be cancelling closer to the actual date. So keep checking.

Not any big ones (thank god I had A&E and 7DMT scheduled for Friday, which wasn't affected by the changes at all)...

Saturday is going to be our Epcot day & I got FPs for Test Track, Nemo & Spaceship Earth
Sunday is our second MK day and I got BTMRR, Peter Pan & Meet Cinderella/Rapunzel

Just checked for Sat March 14...a bit less than 30 days and for MK I can't make A&E or 7DMT or the parade/fireworks, but everythign else has availabity. But...for March 23, which is 30 days out, I can get 7DMT but not A&E/Fireworks/parade.

Good to know, thanks. I may buy my tix tonight to avoid the price increase and then Ican start stalking MDE waiting for my date to open, lol. Would love to snag 7DMT. Fortunately DD12 is uninterested in Frozen and characters in general (that makes me sad but happy).

Best of luck to you. We are in snowy DC and are supposed to leave tomorrow morning. Hoping the rain they are promising this will turn into comes soon

Good luck!! We're supposed to have great weather here on Monday (albeit cold -- about -1) so I'm feeling confident about Monday. Just wish we were checking into POR right now instead of snowblowing our driveway. :(

Check ADRs regularly the day before. Because of the 24 cancellation policy, you may have some luck.

:thumbsup2 I've been doing that for months in hope of getting a Wishes ADR (no luck), so I know the irritating drill, lol. The BOG FP/ADR thing is changing while we're there so I'm hoping I might have some luck n the 25th getting an ADR for the 1st to replace the BOG FP we had to give up.

Like others have said, keep checking. You may even want to call about the ADR. It is possible they can accommodate you even though no availability is showing. We were at DHS on Wednesday and had some down time, I checked all dining at DHS for an 11:30/12 lunch. Nothing available anywhere. We walked over to 50's Primetime and asked if they were taking walk ins. Not only did she say oh yes, no problem, but we were seated within minutes of walking in the door. We were only a party of 2, but still, I would try, can't hurt...Good Luck and have a great trip!
