My husband also saw the infomercial, but he went ahead and bought one supposedly for me. Personally, I don't like it. We've roasted several chickens in it and it doesn't take any less time that the oven. On top of that, you have to change the position of the chicken every so often, so you can't just go off for an hour and leave it. I know it says that it cooks faster than the oven, but in our case, it hasn't been true. It has been about the same time or longer. We've never tried putting frozen meat in there.
On top of it not being any shorter time, it's more difficult to clean. If I roast a chicken in my overn, I do it in a small pan that is easy to clean or put in the dishwasher. To clean the Flavorwave, you have to clean it all by hand washing and it's sort of big and bulky - a little hard to handle.
I know my husband is disappointed that I don't try and use it more, but I prefer the crockpot or oven.
