Flavored/Sour Powder Sugar-A Project. Intrigued?

I'm trying to find the powdered sugar like they sell at the Goofy's Candy Co. (and various other venues at WDW).

I can find Pixie Stix and the like but I'd like to buy it by flavor in boxes. I assume it comes in 1 or 5 pound boxes from somewhere but I can't find the source.

You can probably buy the generic distribution centers too but I haven't run across them either. Surely the theme parks (all of them, not just Disney) get this stuff from somewhere. Disney may have built the stand but I doubt they're in the sour-sugar manufacturing business. :confused3

Anybody up for a project? :lmao:

Is there a CM (former or present) around that might be able and willing to confirm what the BRAND is that Disney uses?

You may want to change the title of your thread to Flavored sugar.
As someone who does a good deal of baking, I thought you were talking about CONFECTIONER'S Sugar (10x sugar). ;)

Good idea but I don't think I can. I can't see how. :(

Edit: I figured it out. Thanks!

That's better. :thumbsup2

I am intigued! What are you wanting to use it for?

I just want some. Seriously. It's the kid in me. It's one of my favorite things to do at Disney. I can't walk by one. There's gotta be a cheaper way to buy it than at Disney! :rotfl:

I want some at home. Pixie Stix just ain't the same!

Admittedly, during my research, I've also become quite intrigued with the possibility of a retail distribution at various venues but this was absolutely after-the-fact and secondary to why I was/am looking for it.

This could be it too: http://www.myrainbowdust.com/

I'm really thinking it's the Pucker Powder though, just based on the flavors available. they sound just like the Disney Flavors and the Seaworld picture looks a lot like Disney's customized displays.

I'm sure Disney (if they use them) won't allow them to show pictures showing that it's them that they use (does that make sense?).

The Rainbow Dust looks like it just comes in bottles not a large dispenser like the Pucker Powder.

Yea. It's really all about the flavor, though.

Primarily, I'm trying to find the product used by WDW first and foremost for me personally. Secondarily, and probably won't come to fruition anyway, is the cost savings of large bulk for retail sale.

There may even be other compete products out there but these are the only two I've been able to find.

It's pucker powder. For sure.

I didn't work at Disney but I did work at another amusement park and we sold pucker powder. I am 100% sure it is pucker powder.

The puckerpowder site has kits available looks to be for parties maybe- However there are no prices anywhere or a link to how you can order... Why would they have a site with all of their product and not have it available for order? Especially, I think the kits would be cool to buy for a birthday party activity and then the kids could have a treat for their goody bag... :confused3 Oh well...

I looked at the site and its seems they don't do retail.

You can rent machines for your party but not from them. Even the kits that don't require a machine can only be purchased from one of their distributors. Though it looks like maybe party stores may carry the Pucker Powder® Mini kit.

My child is having a Birthday Party and I really want to rent one of your machines, where can I find one?

In 2007 Sandblast by Creative Concepts Inc. introduced the Pucker Powder® Mini just for this purpose. The mini machine is sold to rental locations, party stores and bounce companies throughout the United States and Canada. Please contact our sales office at sales@puckerpowder.com or call toll free at 888-460-4623 to find the nearest location for your rental needs. We search by area code, city and state so if emailing please supply us a few options of area codes as well as your city and state. To get more information about the mini please visit the products page.

Also

Why can't I find pricing on your website?

We do not publish our pricing for the general public to view. We sell at a wholesale level and supply many large accounts as well as distributors globally. For pricing information please contact our sales department toll free at 888-460-4623.

For anyone that's interested...

I got my Rainbow Dust today. It pretty much stinks. Ordered 8 flavors. A couple are decent but the rest range from so-so to not good at all.

Still waiting on the real stuff to come in. I had to order it via distribution. I ordered the Rainbow Dust directly from the manufacturer.

I expect the Pucker Powder in a week to 10 days. I'll let everybody know when it comes in.

Bottom line: Don't waste your $$ on the Rainbow Dust IMHO.

Just wanted to pop this back up for anybody that actually was interested in the result except me.

I think we all pretty much had concluded this but let me assure anyone that wasn't sure: Pucker Powder is it. Period. End of story.

Got mine about a week ago and just forgot to post about it.

Thanks to everyone who helped. This oughta tide me over until June. :rotfl2:
