So come on, what's wrong with me? We fly to Sanford on Saturday and I'm as flat as roadkill. Not excited in the slightest. Zilch.

I reckon it's because I've been running on pure Disney-adrenaline for months, planning, scheming (I'm going to ask my DBF to marry me), planning some more, ordering cakes, ordering flowers etc. This week? No planning, scheming or plotting.

Flat, flat, flat...:confused3

I recognise those symptoms - I was exactly the same in August, not half as excited as I should have been. You will be pleased to know that the feelings of excitement were well and truly back as soon as we arrived at Disney.

I hope you have a great holidy and the proposal goes well :goodvibes

you know I'm with you on that one right now

We have just come back from a week in Florida and go again in 2 months, then we have another 2 weeks booked for January when we get married, then for December 2008. and I feel nothing. Chris thinks I am Disney'd out.

I hope the feelings that I normally have come back

Hope you feel better about it, try watching maybe a Disney movie or some parades on the internet

I hope your proposal goes well

Another one here who an relate!!
I kinda get depressed just before i go thinking its almost over, will soon be home - no more planning.
sad i know!!!
BUT back to happy when we get there & the best cure.....get another trip booked when you get home ;)

Can you give us all the sordid details now (erm, of the proposal:rotfl2: ) or haven't you figured it yet

I feel the same as traceycooper. It must be nearly over so I should be depressed sort of feeling. Also I hate flying and finally I always seem to get ill before/or on holiday after a year of being well at work!

still can't beat a vacation at disney. In fact even a day off work each a great event!!:cloud9:

Thanks guys, glad I'm not the only one. I've just checked the weather forecast too and wish I hadn't! Some friends of ours came back yesterday and it was scorching hot :sad1:

Sordid details huh? Well, I have some new lingerie, thigh-high boots - oh sorry, the proposal?! Right!

It is his birthday when we are out there so I've got a couple of nights booked at a Boardwalk villa (none of this he knows anything about) and a birthday meal at Boma amongst many other things. I'm going to ask him at Boma. I figured lure him to a nice restaurant, wait til he's got a belly full of food and he can't run! I've organised a cake to be delivered for his birthday as the final blackmail - no 'yes' no cake... I was going to ask him at the Crystal Palace (something else he knows nothing about) but thought Boma might be the better option!

I've got a very tasteful Mickey ring (pink plastic) that I can give him to give back to me. Hey, no expense spared here!

And it just so happens that we can stroll past Sea Breeze Point on the Boardwalk after the meal at Boma - how convenient is that?! Planned, plotted and schemed? No, pure co-incidence. Honest!

Yeah i totally get what you mean, all that planning, talking about it, organising and then its all sorted and you have to wait.....

....but when you step out of the airport, huge huge grin, you're finally there!! Enjoy!!!!! Live for the moment!!! We would love to go back next year and celebrate 10years of marriage, we've always talked about renewing our vows in Disney!

I hope you guys have a wonderful time i'm sure you'll get the feeling back, it's the best place on earth!

Love Charlotte:goodvibes

great proposal planning :goodvibes
When i booked WDW on our last trip last year DH & I had been together 10 yrs & we were both turning the big 4 0
So i booked the trip, came home & said to DH - ''i've booked WDW & by the way we're getting married there!'' He said ''oh right ok'' TEN years i'd been trying to get that man to tie the knot - book WDW & he's ok!!!!
Had a lovely wedding & (touch wood) still happily married almost a year later ;)
