I know that there are some rides and attractions that allow flash photography, some that allow non-flash photography, and some that don't allow any photography. Is there a list with this info somewhere?

OK - I'm bumping my own thread!

How about this - start naming rides/attractions that you know can or cannot have photography (flash or otherwise).

Cannot have photography/flash photography in hall of presidents

What about Fantasmic? I thought that flash photography was NOT allowed - but oodles of flashes went off the whole time! It was very distracting! Do people not know how to turn their flashes off, or is it allowed?

Flash photography is allowed in country bears only during the finally.

I believe that they announced during the Lion King show in AK that flash photography was allowed but no external video camera lights.

Flashes are totally useless at Fantasmic and 100% annoying. I wish people would learn how to use the stuff they have.

A flash at Fantasmic is totally useless. You are too far away. and if you use the flash, it will light up the heads of the people in front of you, and the picture you were going for will be totally dark.

There's no Flash Photography in Pirates of the Caribbean - Someone took a picture of the Skeleton Captain & a Recording interrupted the Music to say "No Flash Photography is allowed on this attraction."

Definitely agree about flashes being useless at Fantasmic too!

The basic rule of thumb is "If it's an indoor attraction, there's no flash photography allowed."

That wasn't a recording on PotC, it was a real live person whose duties include, among other things, making sure no one takes flash pictures.
The basic reasons for flash photography not being allowed are 1) it will mess up the special effects, 2) your photo will not develop properly, and 3) it can be dangerous for performers. Flashes don't pose as great a danger to performers as external video camera lights. Those things are bad business.

Bright lights are prohibited at:
All indoor attractions.
All stage shows.
Nighttime parades.

All Photography is prohibited on backstage tours.

i know philharmagic is one of them, well for obvious reasons, its 3D and the picture won't come out, but if u have a digital camera, then y not test? and see if u can take the flash off

I was riding Pirates one time when a man from Japan, I believe, didn't really talk to him, tried using a cam-corder with very bright external lights. They actually stopped the ride and wouldn't allow it to continue until the camera had been shut off. It was difficult because he didn't seem to understand what they were saying.

Of some scenes in POTC!:o Use 400-800 film in your 35 mm point and shoot and turn OFF the flash on your camera. Pictures come out GREAT!;)
