Flaming means basically (IMO) to verbally blast somebody over some subject.

Numerous times, but the one that stands out the most is the time I started a therad about a person I was interviewing who showed up in a bright pink, skin tight business suit, with a bright pink bow in her hair. People were furious that I judged this woman based on how she was dressed (when in reality I was not the only one, she was applying for an ultra conservative accounting job and the accounting director took one look at her and said no way). That said, I probably should not have dished about it on the DIS. Learned my lesson and now keep my mouth shut about such things on the DIS. I hate the idea of hurting people's feelings, its just not in my nature to do so, and I guess I probably hurt some people's feelings that day. It wasn't my intention, but I learned my lesson for future DIS posting.

I started a thread about food stamps and how a lady who was using them in front of me was abusing them . That was the jest of it .
The thread turned really ugly and it was on the front page of the DIS for days LOL
I was fine after the toasting of my tush though

I remember that thread! It was very interesting reading...

i was in a bit of a rush on the thread and instead of writing great i wrote gr8 to save time.
only one DISer was nasty about it but she was nasty enough for it to havebeen 500+ of them

this reminds me of when I interviewed for a job the beginning of last December. This was for elementary school clerk. I was there early, and the panel was running late, so I got to see 2 others that interviewed. One wore sweat pants and the other a Christmas sweater and earrings the shape of Christmas lights that blinked!! I couldn't believe my eyes!

Did you notice that Most flames, Not All, so don't flame me.. but Most Flames start because someone didn't read the whole post OR the assumed things that weren't in the Post ..

That is why I read the whole post First, before flaming, but then again, we are all entitled to our own opinion and I don't think I ever Flamed anyone on Dis too harshly..

One of my former lives got so hot out of the 400 or so posts I had, you can find about 20 left in search. Those head hunters went after everything I'd said for 3 yrs back.

Hated the poor
Didnt want poor kids to have snacks
Thought that poor people shouldnt have nice clothes and should wear rags to shop
AND was a cart spy , I was running around Walmart looking in others carts
But my favorite was that I didnt know what it was like to be poor because I drive a Mercedes bawwhwhaaaa

LOL ! While planning my first WDW trip last yr I asked on the family board about bringing a child to Pleasure Island. I had read in one of the most popular guides that some dance places allow children and its fun to see parents and kids dancing . I asked if this was really true and a few other questions. You should have seen the fire storm, i got everything from why would you have your kids out late, to why would you let them around people that drink, You name it people threw it at me.It was like folks thought i was taking my 4 yr old to get drunk. I was astounded and learned a fast lesson, stay away from family board when talking about pleasure Island.

BTW I hate the poor too and don't want poor kids to get nice things for Christmas. This from a thread about why they let kids only put Wii and PS3 on the giving trees at Christmas.

Well at 1st I couldnt figure out what started my hatred of the poor since I grew up on food stamps and I think I know why ....
