Flame Tree BBQ

plate on left has the chicken, on the right is the ribs platter. Both come with baked beans, and the corn muffin. We always ordered the ribs and thought they were excellent, but this last time in September, I ordered the chicken, DH ordered the ribs...and we decided we both liked the chicken even better. We really like to get the minute maid frozen lemonade as the dessert so we can carry it with us -- it's frozen fairly solid so takes awhile to melt -- very nice for carrying through the park on a hot day. Either one of these platters with the frozen lemonade & a soda or tea is one counter service (there are a couple of other dessert choices too, and some other entree choices like a chef salad I think)

If you do eat there, walk all the way around the building - on past the condiments - don't stop at the picnic pavilion behind the condiments. Instead keep going totally behind the building - tables by the lovely temple/reflecting pond back there so peaceful & calm (but don't feed the critters - you won't get rid of them if you do feed them.) Or keep walking past that pond, through that table area and go down a few steps/path to the picnic pavilion that's on the lake with a view of Everest -- that's an awesome place to sit - this is a picture from the table we were at:

Flame Tree BBQ is our favorite QS location in WDW. Both the chicken and ribs are very good! If there is any way that you can order both and then share them I'm sure you would enjoy them. The corn muffins are VERY good as well!

I've never been, but I can tell you what I am going to order in October: the BBQ Pork sandwich! :lovestruc I've seen pics and it looks soooo good!

Whatever you order get a side of Onion Rings! They are wonderful. Also the PP was right, that view of Everest is great.

I always get the chicken or pork, both are always very tasty! As others have said, go down and get the view of Everest- but resist feeding the ducks! Feeding them just encourages them and the last thing you want is a duck thinking you're a good source of food.

I ate there last year and got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich. It was pretty great.

I always get the rib combo, dh the chicken combo and the kids the drumstick meal and it has always been good there;)

I love the ribs, the chicken is a close second - but was kind of dissapointed when I switched it up and tried the pulled pork sandwich - I can make better at home....

We weren't that impressed with the ribs-- they seemed a little tough. Everyone in our group agreed that the chicken was better. Also, we didn't like the baked beans-- they were SUPER sweet and just funny tasting (and this comment is coming from a woman who makes baked beans by adding butter onions and BRWON SUGAR to Bush's beans-- so it's not like I dislike sweet beans!). This place was talked up so much on the Dis that maybe our expectations were too high. The ribs had good flavor, but they were pretty tough. --Katie
