6/26 LUNCH @ Flame Tree BBQ
My wife and I split ribs and a chicken ranch salad. They were both very good. The ribs were very tasty even though they did not have a lot of BBQ sauce. The side of beans that came with the ribs was also very good. My 3 sons (7,6,2) each had the hotdog kids meal. It had two mini dogs (put thenm together and they equal about 1 1/4 of a regular dog) bag of chips and a drink. They didn't complain.
The best part of this restaurant was how private and relaxing the seating was. There are a number of seating areas behind the counter. Each area has a covering with ceiling fans. I didn't feel like I was in a park. It was a nice rest. I would highly recommend.
DINNER @ Rainforest Cafe (DTD)
I had priority seating for 6PM, and I would definitely suggest that you call ahead. We waited about one minute and the line was quite long for people to be seated. It was like having a fastpass. The direct number is 407-827-8500.
I had the turkey wrap sandwich and my wife had the rasta pasta. The portions were both quite large. The food was good. It was exactly as I expected, your typical family style restaurant. The kids all had the chicken nugget meal and fries. Their portions were very large. You could definitely split between two kids.
For desert we had the Volcano. I beleieve this is their signature desert. It has vanilla ice cream surrounded by bronies with whipped cream and chocalte syrup coming out of the top. It is in the shape of a volcano. I was very good. The five of us shared this.
I would recommend this restaurant, but make sure that you get teh priority seating. Also, this restaurant kept my 2 yr old ver amused. He didn't try to leave his seat once.
