I understand they meet you at Baggage claim at arrival, but where do they drop you off on the return back at MCO? Same are where DME brings you? And do you request the 3 hours before flight? Our return flight is April 24th 9:25 AM. Deciding between sticking with DME thats free or FL Tours and send luggage with yellow tags anyway. We fly our April 17th and land 9:15 am at MCO. Any advice? Thanks, Jenny

I can't remember! I 'think' they drop off at the main level, the same as if a friend was dropping you off. I don't think it's the same area DME uses. In any case, if your flight is at 9:25, DME would pick you up around 6:30. If using a car service, I would ask to be picked up around 7. That gets you to MCO by 7:30ish. You've already checked the bags at the resort, so you would go right to security. Even if the line was 30 mins long, that gets you to your gate by 8:15. TSA If you don't mind a bit of a rush, you could get picked up around 7:30, and hope the security line isn't long! That would get you to the gate area around 9ish, if the line is longish.

thanks 7:00AM sounds perfect! I just wasnt sure if they had some far away drop off point. Does anyone else have any other service they like better than FL TOurs? Would we be saving time and stops? I am not claiming our luggage at all, using yellow tags so that saves waiting for those

Towncars and taxis drop you off in front of your airline's counter. If your airline has curbside check-in, it will be right where you are dropped off. For the past few years, I have only booked towncars one way, from the airport to my hotel. I want a grocery stop. Also, I do not want to be on a bus which might make other stops before I get to my hotel. And some of my trips were for conventions, so I stayed at hotels near the convention center and was not eligible for Magical Express. So I find it beneficial to take a towncar from airport to hotel. But I don't think there is any benefit to taking a towncar, rather than taxi or Uber, from hotel to airport on departure day.

Back when I booked round trip, I would tell the towncar company (or enter on their website) the time of my return flight, and the towncar company would give me a pick up time of two hours before my flight.

When I went to WDW last month, I used Tiffany Towncar from airport to hotel on arrival day, and Uber from hotel to airport on departure day. I saved $25 over using Tiffany Towncar round trip.

I think Tiffany Towncar and FL Tours are comparable in terms of service.

Thanks for your info! We wont want to be using Uber so if we go this route we will book the roundtrip. The DME would be financially smarter, but the stops to AKL usually I end up bus sick by the time we get there. We wanted to splurge a bit and treat ourselves to a quick straight shot this time. We are OK to send luggage on ahead right?

Years back, before Magical Express, I took a Mears shuttle to my hotel. It stopped at a bunch of other hotels first, and I felt bus sick by the time I got to my hotel. I swore I would never do that again.

As to whether you can use the Magic Express service for your luggage even if you will not be getting on the bus - I don't know the answer to that question. I personally would not do that on my arrival day. It will take hours for your luggage to get to your room. My personal suggestion is: if you're taking a towncar, wait at baggage claim for your luggage and have it go in the towncar with you.

Actually, my suggestion is: make a bathroom stop when you get off the plane if you feel like it. Then go to baggage claim. You'll feel better, and you won't have to wait very long at baggage claim for your luggage.

We arrive so early that its ok to wait for our luggage to arrive to the room. Plane lands 9:15am, and we dont need anything from them till bedtime!

last year at BCV we were first stop and 2 years prior we were at BWV and we also were first stops, so staying at AKL this time made me rethink the drive to and from MCO and the stops. Thanks everyone for the help!

That's definitely our standard plan when we want to get bags, when we have to get bags, and when we aren't going through MCO. OK fine, so we always have a bathroom stop after we get off the plane. :)

Some people don't make the stop, and I just don't get the point of rushing to wait around at baggage claim.

we are going to go with Tiffany Town car. The others we inquired didnt respond to questions, and FL Tours did after 3 attempts and are booked up solid. Thanks for all info anyone offered!
