Is this possible? This seems silly but I really want my luggage in hand when I arrive at the resort. Coming home I don't care. How would I go about doing this?:confused3 :)

Easy, just book FL Tours for you ride to the resort, and book DME for the return. But, remember this....if you want to, you can grab your own bags at baggage claim and still ride the DME bus. Just do not put those yellow tags on the bags. Since you are already going to have to go to baggage claim and wait for your bags, it would make sense to have another adult in your party head to DME, get all checked in and then sit down and wait for you to get there, or go back and help with the bags. If money is no issue, then sure, go with FL Tours. They will help you with your bags, and put them in the car for you and then go directly to your resort.

WOW, No one told me we could bring our luggage with on the ME !! Thank you:cool1: So do I have to call ahead a get the special luggage tags?

When you get booked on ME you will get the tags just don't use them for you leg to WDW.

Ok I think I got it!!. I just checked out Luggage Tag Info thread. If I don't want Disney to take my luggage I throw away the yellow tags before I get to my home airport. And leaving we handle our own bags.
Does this sound correct:rolleyes: :thumbsup2

That is correct.

However, just realize that you'll be waiting for your bags at baggage claim while other DME guests on your flight are boarding their motorcoach. Depending on your airline, you may need to drag your luggage from one corner of the huge Orlando Airport to the other. You're likely to depart from Orlando Airport 20-60 minutes later than if you used DME as designed. It's customary to tip the DME driver and the hotel bellman for luggage assistance (but Disney pays the tips if you use DME as designed).

There are some people who can't relax until they have their luggage in their room. For those people, it makes sense to throw away the yellow tags, delay their arrival at the resort, deal with the hassle of handling their own luggage and the airport and the resort, and pay the tips.

But if your reason for wanting to handle your own bags is to have immediate access to a few items (such as swimwear) when arriving at the resort, then it makes more sense to pack those items in carry-ons and to allow Disney to handle all checked luggage.
