I have read many wonderful reviews for FL Tours here at the DIS, and I booked them for my very first visit to WDW a few weeks ago. Traveling as a single mom with a young DD, I was a little nervous, so I wanted things to be as easy as possible.
Unfortunately, our FL Tours driver was not at the airport when we arrived. Our flight was on schedule, so I thought maybe he was somewhere else in the airport. We walked with our luggage back and forth from the last baggage claim where our luggage arrived to the stairs we had come down to get there (I didn't know where he was suppose to be). I was a little frustrated because our bags were heavy and my little one had to pull hers since I had an armful. She was tired from getting up at 4:00 am to catch our flight and the tears were beginning to flow.
Luckily, my aunt had loaned me her cell phone in case of an emergency, so we finally stopped searching and called. We had to go back down to baggage claim and out the doors to meet our driver outside when he got there.
I know well that no service is perfect, nor is any trip, but unfortunately, this was our first trip and it got off to a shaky start with FL Tours. This was exactly what I wanted to avoid, and I paid $105 to do it. The return trip to the airport (with a different driver) was better, but they forgot the booster seat for my DD.
I'm hoping to save enough to return to WDW (an otherwise incredible trip), but I don't know if I'll try FL tours again. However, I'm always open to giving anyone a second chance. If I do, I'll remind them of what happened this time and perhaps it will go well next time!
