I am trying to find an airline that flies non-stop from anywhere in FL to Portland, OR. I haven't had any luck. I have tried Travelocity & Expedia and some individual airlines and all require layovers. Can this be done non-stop? I can depart out of Orlando, Miami, Tampa or pretty much anywhere in the state but it has to go non-stop to Portland. Am I out of luck?

Alaska Air had one, but it looks like they discontinued it. Best we do is get to Atlanta and then hop down (Delta), or go up to Seattle and then fly to FL (Alaska).

Above poster is correct...

Alaska used to have one but now goes to Seattle first...

Delta goes to Atlanta first...

I wish Alaska still did the direct flight... :sad2:

Bummer!

Portland is not a major airport so they don't have many non-stops. The flight from Seattle is about 20 minutes so it's literally up and down.

Our son lives in Portland and we booked him from MCO to DEN on Southwest and then straight up to Portland. It was the shortest time in the air/layovers they have. Yes, you can go to Atlanta, but there is a longer layover there and it's basically across the country again. He prefers the straightest shot possible. We loved the Alaska Airlines red eye. It was awesome. We stayed at Hyatt MCO and met him in the morning and off to Disney property.....wish they didn't take it away.

I'm not a fan of the Atlanta stop going back home. The flight from ATL to PDX is the worst as it always seems to take FOREVER! Maybe it's the short flight then long flight thing...

I'm a big fan of stopping over in either Seattle (though usually, this is one of the spendier routes), San Francisco, Denver or Salt Lake.

I miss that Alaska Air flight to WDW, a lot. It was absolutely perfect. On the way to WDW, you'd get there at 5 something in the morning. It didn't matter how much it cost, we were going to take this flight. Now it's not there :( We make sure to grab the layover at LAX now that lets us arrive in MCO at 6AM... the earlier the better.
