As of now, this is a custody case. Basically, the judge will have to decide what is in the best interest of the child and make one of the biological parents the residential parent.
Unfortunately, for Stephanie (the surrogate), she is screwing herself up by not letting the father see the baby. She didn't even inform him when she was born. It has been over a month since the baby was born and still no contact. One of the main issues when a judge looks at "best interest" is which parent will facililtate an ongoing relationship with the nonresidential parent. She is clearly not willing to do this and she will find out that hard way, in court, that her behavior is unacceptable.
The Lamatina's are more than willing to allow visitation with the babies biological mother. They have said that from day one.
And to the person on here that said they have known her for 10 years etc. You're being snowed! If their were any other side to this story it would be talked about. She has said nothing. I was there for the entire surrogacy and saw what she did and how she lied. If you know her so well, then you must know that she is a smoker and smoked while carrying this baby? A big no-no for all parents but an obvious no-no for a surrogate.
Also, did you know that she has lied to three egg donation clinics. She did three egg donations and never told them that one of her children is autistic. You know how I know? Because I own a egg donation and surrogacy agency and ANY genetic abnormalities, such as autism, are an automatic disqualification for egg donation. Oh and by the way....so is SMOKING! SHe admits in her emails that she was smoking and she swears that her midwife gave her permission to do this to treat her migraines. Any idiot knows that smoking provokes migraines. Of course, her midwife said she told her no such thing and discharged her from her care after finding out.
Did you kow that she said she was a surrogate previously? HMMMMM! Makes you wonder where her youngest child came from because she refusses to discuss who his father is!!!!! RED FLAGS!
She is also a first year 5th grade school teacher, and I don't know about anyone else, but I hold teachers to a higher level of conduct.
What excuse could she possibly have for any of this. She can't say it is because she didn't get full payment because that would be baby selling and she also declined all payment in her email, after being told that she breeched the contract by smoking. I'd be happy to post the ad that she posted on surromomsoline. She advertised herself as a surrogate, received payment for it (the initial installment) did home inseminations with the bio fathers sperm. What did she think she was getting herself into. It's pretty cut and dried to me!
This is sickening and anyone that defends her or claims any type of ongoing realtionship with her should take a look at the company they keep.
I just can't wait until this entire mess turns around and bites her in the butt. She will end up being the visiting parent and paying life insurance, child support, and health insurance. HMMM, I wonder if she'll sign away her parental rights then. I think so!
