My son lives near (and works) at WDW. He has a Universal AP and will be going with us to Universal in early Dec. On the Universal website, it says proof of FL residency is required to buy and for pick-up of FL resident tickets.
"Ticket is for purchase and use by Florida Residents only.
Guest must present proof of Florida residency at time of purchase and ticket pick-up.
Valid Florida ID required for each ticket purchased. Limit six (6) tickets per transaction."

Since he will be going with us, he can pick them up for us. My question is - will they want to check our IDs when we use the tickets at the gate?
Thank you for your help!

They will check your ID when you activate your ticket. If you do not have Florida ID, you will not be able to activate your ticket.

I won't get into the ethics of what you're suggesting. If you can't figure out that it's wrong, I don't think I can help you in any case.

He can buy discounted regular tickets for you to use. You will get 15% off gate price multi day tickets and 10% off single day tickets.:thumbsup2

Thanks, Bluer101. That sounds like the way to go!

It states right here in your info you obtained from Universal that a Valid Florida ID is required for each ticket purchased. This means that for each ticket purchased, there must be a corresponding Florida ID ex. 4 tickets, 4 Florida IDs at pick-up/purchase. Go with his discount because if you're not a FL resident, you can't get the FL resident discount.

Its going to be the cheapest route. AP holder can purchase up to 6 people per day. They just have to have a preferred or premier AP, power pass does not qualify for discounts.:thumbsup2

If your son is buying the tickets with his AP it doesn't matter where the ticket users live. These are not FL resident tickets...they are AP tickets and you do not need to show any ID for the AP discounted park tickets.

I think if they get multiday tickets, a power pass annual holder still can purchase tickets at a 10% discount
