FL resident pass

We just moved to Florida and need to buy residents' passes. I know you can prove FL residency by showing a utility bill in our names (me and my wife). I assume that our two children get the resident pass if we do since their names are not on the utility bill and they do not get drivers licenses or FL ID cards. Is that right?

Where do we buy the FL residents' passes? Is it true that one utility bill with both adult names on it is all we need to get the residents' pass?

Also, once we have our 4 residents' passes, how do we get into the parks with them? I heard that FL residents need to show their passes AND FL drivers licenses to get into the parks. But my wife and I do not want to get FL drivers licenses yet. Can't we just use the resident pass to get into the parks? Also, do they use fingerprints for FL residents' passes?

Thanks for all your help!

We showed our utility bill and our TX drivers license (for our picture ID) to get the Florida PAPs. She told us to keep a copy of our utility bill with us until we got our Florida drivers license. We bought our APs at Downtown Disney.

Yes, they use the fingerscans for FL APs.

Have you used the passes to get into a park yet? Did you need to show the utility bill to get in?

Yes, we activated them the day we got them. We left Downtown Disney with our passes and went to Epcot. They just did the fingerscan at Epcot and we were set to go. No one has ever asked for our utility bill except when we first purchased the passes. We did get our FL drivers license a few weeks later but we've never been asked for our DL either but I do take our DL just in case.

3 of our passes got demagnitized a few weeks after purchasing them and they replaced them for free and still never asked for ID.

I bought FL resident AP vouchers at our Disney store. I got one for myself, DD, my mom and DH. My mom and DH were not with me at the time.

I believe I showed my driver's license at the time or purchase. I know we all had to show ID (except DD, who was 5 at the time) when we activated the passes. We have activated at Epcot and MGM with no line and no problems at all.

Enjoy your new AP's!

I didn't buy vouchers at DD but the actual activated passes that is why my husband and I both had to have a photo ID and utility bill.

Then we just went to Epcot to get the first fingerscan. That is why I didn't need ID at Epcot since I already had passes.

Anyone that considers themselves a Florida Resident, whether they live in the state or not, should get themselves a Florida ID card or "Florida Only" Drivers license. You don't need to live there year round or give up your license from your home state. All we had to do was give them our info, our Florida address and swear to it's accuracy. No proof (utility bill or whatever) was offered or asked for (we have one with us, just in case). Took all of 15 minutes and removes all doubt.
