My brother is currently a FL resident and will be joining us in December. My question is can he purchase his resident tickets at the gate or must he buy them online in advance? He's not sure how much time he'll have with us so he doesn't want to buy a 7 day pass now and then find out he'll only have 4 days. I just have no idea how the resident discounts work or how he'll have to go about getting his ticket. Thank you!

Hi:goodvibes

It has been my experience that Florida residents can purchase thier tickets online or at the gate:
If you purchase your ticket online then you will print a voucher- this is NOT a ticket. You must show your voucher at the park and show your florida ID and THEN they will give you the ticket.
Or you can wait and go to guest relations at the park. At MK it is all the way to the left of the ticket gates. You still have to show your ID.

As far as tickets go: go to the florida resident ticket portion on the disney website. There is a "weekday" pass valid for Mon- Fri only(not sure if you can park hop or not) for less than $200.00 so if he is unsure that might be the way to go and it is valid for one year BUT all florida residents passes have BLACKOUT dates

The FL Res annual passes and premium annual passes do not have blackout dates. Only seasonal, weekday select passes have blackout dates.
