Not sure about any changes in DLR, due to the FL refurb in WDW. I would have thought that if anything is going to happen, they would have announced it at the same time.
And yes, the Little Mermaid ride is going into DCA, where the Golden Dreams theater used to be located.
WDW's Fantasyland is in much more need of a giant refurb than DLR's. DLR's had one in the 80s when Pinocchio was put in and the medieval carnival type castle overhangs were changed to resemble more of a European village. WDW's FL still has those carnival striped overhangs.
Help me someone, I had no idea about any of this, can someone point me in the right direction of where to read this??? I would hope they would never remove Toontown from DL, it is one of the best things ever, why are they removing it from the MK?? What will be there?? This is just really sad.

If I've read correctly then they aren't doing anything to FL and Toontown at Disneyland. They are doing it in Orlando, at World.
OP was asking what new things would Disneyland get since World is getting stuff. A rumor OP had heard was that The Little Mermaid ride would be coming to Disneyland.
Or...atleast...I THINK that's what's being said...

I am attached to DLR, hoping actually to move out West in a few years. However it sounds like I might have to head back across the country to check all this out, will have to wait for reviews though, but the Dumbo theming sounds cool!!!
Toontown at WDW is NOTHING like DL. It was such a dissapointment to us. There is no surreal skyline. It's very small and a tight sw=queeze walking around. Something like PFF for character meet and greets and a ride call the barnstormer which is like gogogadget. Nothing to be sad about imho
