FL grocery stores looking bad!

Any other shoppers with grocery stores that look like war zones? DH went to Publix Monday and there was NO FOOD! He and an elderly lady were both "eyeing" the same coffee cake. DH is an old softy and let her have it. The power had gone off during the hurricane and anything refridgerated or frozen had to be put in the dumpster. Other food items were at an all time low due to folks stocking up for the hurricane. Today I went for a few things and it still looks pretty bare. So, how are things in the grocery stores around the state?

In Pensacola the stores are just now keeping things stocked.

Yep. It was the same way at Publix after Frances. It took them a few days to get back to normal since they lost power. Luckily we had a generator to run our refrigerator this time and I stocked up before Jeanne. Hopefully they'll be up and running soon!

Give us a few more days, our stores will be back to normal soon. South Florida is sending some supplies to you all.

We are one of the rare who never lost power during the three hurricanes.
I had stocked up for the first and have not gone through all those yet. So luckily have not had a need to go to the grocery store yet.

I found that Walgreen's and Dollar Tree often had what I wanted more so than Publix.

That's what happened to our Publix after Frances. Our store lost power and it took them a few days after the power was restored to restock their shelves.

I went to Walmart yesterday and there was hardly any ketchup (the shelve was nearly empty), I guess people had to buy lots of it before Jeanne. Ice cream was also low.
