FJ or Ollivander's - What to do first?

I've been hearing that the line for Ollivander's is eclipsing that of FJ. I'll be there the Tuesday after opening, do you think it's better to hit up Ollivander's first?

We plan on doing FJ first and then heading over to Ollivanders 2nd during the hour early entry. We will be there for 6 days so hopefully at least once we might be able to get DD into the show, but oh well if not

I would do Ollivanders first if the line is short, especially since you're there for early entry. FJ shouldn't get too crazy till the general public comes in.

We were there on 6/2 and 6/3. If I were you and I wanted to ride FJ, I would probably line up before the park opened and get to FJ as *quickly* as I possibly could (and I am not a "be there at opening and run for a ride" kind of person). Even just for the preview, the line got *very* long, *very* fast.

Ollivander's, OTOH, I'd skip completely. It's a roughly 5 minute show where one persom from the audience is chosen to find the right wand. Once that happens (she tried 3 when we saw it), the audience is ushered into the wand store which is incredibly small and *INCREDIBLY* crowded. There, you can buy your very own stick of wood, um, I mean "wand" for $30 (or more). We weren't impressed.

I haven't been yet. But I would suggest doing the rides over the shops first. You can see plenty of videos on youtube of Ollivanders shop if you would like to know what it is about before hand. I've seen so many, I'm thinking about skipping the show altogether and just going into the store it is attached to...

Personally I'd see the show first, it's 5 minutes long and the wait would be incredible after a while. As for FJ, getting into it's line after the show (10 minutes later) as opposed to doing FJ first than the wand show is minimal change. Reverse that action, once you come out of FJ and get in line for the wand show, it'll be 30-1 hr before you'll get in for a 5-10 min. show.

I wouldn't miss the show. At least see it one time.

I would probably go with Ollivander's first, waiting for FJ would be much nicer, nice indoor castle with some very cool effects and scenery, versus waiting outside a shop in a line.

that's what I was thinking, there's really much more to do it sounds like while waiting in line for FJ.
When we go, I think we'll go directly to Ollivanders one morning, because my DS is dying to "get chosen" and it seems like going to the first show of the day is probably the best way to minimize our wait and maximize his chance of being picked!

Hmmm. I think if FJ was working, I would do it first to make sure I got at least one ride. You never know if it will continue to work. I'd be more disappointed in missing out on FJ if it stopped working and I missed it than I would about missing out on the wand choosing.

Just got back yesterday, and were there for 3 days. WWOHP was open just about the entire day sat, sun and yesterday, and early entry from 8 to 9 is solely for resort guests, but none of the rest of the park is open.

We waited in line for Olivanders for about 30 minutes and waited for 40 for FJ.

We went back on both later in the day both days with no line.

Olivanders is something you will do once, unless, you want to try and be picked, which is difficult.

FJ is something you MUST do through the entire cue the first time to see the castle.

If there is a line at olivanders skip it and go on FJ. if the line is short, do Olivanders first.

Single rider line for FJ takes less than 10 minutes. Once you've done the castle, if you go back on Fj, do single rider.
