I am reading a lot of reviews before our trip and with counter service restaurants i keep coming across mentiuons of a fixings bar. It maybe because this will be my first time in the US or it may be just that i rarely eat at macdonalds style places, could somebodty please explain what a fixings bar is?

Thanks

A Fixings bar would be a place where you get pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup, mustard, mayo etc. Additional toppings/condiments for your meal.

It could include pickles, onions, cheese sauce, sometimes mushrooms, olives, sr. cream.....it just kind of depends what the counter is serving as to what is on the fixings bar.

you know it's an obvious question when you have 3 views and 2 replies in 3 minutes. lol

Also known as (as we observed in February) a place for cheap families (using the term cheap here because they bought NOTHING from the CS restaurants we observed this...they had everything EXCAPT the fixings for the sandwiches) to bring in their own lunch meat and bread and then utilize the stuff on the bar to make their own sandwiches. LOL.

But yeah - it's got the fixings for the food you buy in the CS restaurant. At least that's what it should be used for.
