Fixing VMK: CL Program, Report button, Dictionary etc

I would love to see this. I can even get 55k and up sometimes, but, by the time I get home, I really can't even try to get a top 10 score. And I'm one that used to regularly be on that top 10 list.

As long as you can still get the big credits, I would love to see where a player is only listed once.

I would like to see the credits given out on a point basis. Like 0-10,000 get 20 (or better ), 10,001-20,000 get more, and so forth.
It would go far to encouraging people to keep working at getting better.

If we could get reasonable amounts of credits for good scores in general, would we really even care about making the top ten list? I sure wouldn't.

Just fyi a Cl_ tried to scam me on my first day, but on the other hand cl_darasue helped me on my firs day, so it goes both ways

We all know there are the nasty Community Leaders out there, but CL_DaraSue is the complete opposite. To help you on your first day, is so much like DaraSue, whether she was a Community Leader or not. I knew DaraSue for a while before she became a Community Leader and we have made many big trades together; she is a wonderful person.

I think that as well as give feedback on the ''bad'' CL's, we need to give feedback on the good ones too, so that staff knows our preferences. When I found out that DaraSue became a Community Leader, I sent in good feedback about her through Contact Us and thanked Staff for actually making a good choice about a Community Leader. Note, that I made a point in my feedback to say how glad I was that someone so deserving would finally get the title of CL for once.

I would like to point out that the rudeness I see most often comes from players with Guest in front of their titles....

trying to be as rude as possible to get their rocks off.

I completely agree. I can't even count how many times I have witnessed so called ''Guests'' acting downright rude. If I showed you some of the stuff I have seen (i.e. the screen shots I have taken to send into Contact Us) you would be shocked.

The Guests are getting out of hand. I always send in to Contact Us, screen shots and a detailed description including the date, time, players who were involved titles' when I witness something like that. The thing that troubles me the most though is, I never see any improvements in the Guests' behaviour.

I have no problem with CLs or anyone else dominating the top ten lists for any of the mini-games. From this thread, I get the feeling that it would be just fine for LDE to quietly dominate the Jungle Cruise top ten list as an undercover player yet it's not okay for her to do it overtly. I'm not about to argue the ethics of a CL using an undercover character, that topic was recently beaten to death and then some.

I have no problem with Community Leaders dominating the list if they like either. I don't understand the argument that LittleDragonErin and mtlhddoc2 have been having about the mini-games. On average, I see about one or two Community Leaders on the fireworks high scores list in a day, and three would be extraordinary.

I think its mostly the players that really work at it that end up on the highscores, I enjoy a challenge and eventually I will get my green car and maybe be on the highscores one day too. I don't complain about it because I don't mind at all, it gives me something to work for and I'll feel like I have really earned it, rather than people backing down just so I can see my name up there for one day. Keep in mind that the scores don't come to players just from luck, they work at it for months sometimes. If you want to be on the highscores list, then practice.

p.s. mtlhddoc2 is amost entirely right about Community Leaders treating players differently. I have gone undercover more than once and seen completely different behaviour from players/CL's/friends of mine. Not everyone is like that though, I would say its about a 60-70% change in attitude towards you when you're on a Guest account. And yes LittleDragonErin, that's just an estimate

There are many ways to get credits in VMK, I definitely would still care about getting on the Top Ten List if something about credit amounts changed. For me its the pride of reaching my goals, however a little bit of friendly competition is always welcomed when it comes to fireworks

I got scammed big time by a CL. This happened the first day the pink Monster doors became available in that easy game. I was in a trade room and a CL opened the trade window with me. I had 2 snowman magics on. He said he was looking for snowman magic and would be willing to trade his "very rare" pink monster doors for them. He told me only hosts had them and he won them from the host games. I figured the CL would be truthful so I made the trade. Within 10 minutes, player after player announced that they were trading monster doors. I came to find out that they were given out in that game for free. Made me sick. I wish I knew his name, but I can't remember it.

To be fair, I think there was a mistake made with the pink doors. If I remember correctly, they WERE given out for a bit as host prizes instead of the purple doors. The CL you dealt with may have been a victim of that mistake.

Actually, the pink doors were never given out as host prizes. They said the pink would be a host prize, but from the start, it was purple - not pink. I can definitely say, though, at least 4 CLs have tried to scam me out of something rare I obtained fairly - on my own. I reported them in-game and through Contact Us. 3 of them I never saw again, and the other one I saw in-game without their CL title.

I think when it comes to High Scores on any mini-game, this applies to all of them. It is fun to see your name, no matter the mini-game.

Yes, you are correct. The Pink Doors were given out as Host prizes for a very short time, and then they changed to Purple Doors because of the mishap with the game on the Disneyland website giving out Pink Doors instead of Purple as they had planned.

I remember being so excited after winning the chair climb game and getting my Pink Doors. Then come to find out they were released on the DLR site and Purple would be the new Staff game prize. I was luckily able to win the Purple as well. I rarely win at Staff games, so winning twice was a miracle, lol.

Maybe you are right about Good Deeds being abused, but...
noone ever sees some of the best rooms or the best people on VMK becuase they do not stick 10 of their mules into a room to bump it up the list. The rolled out this Gold Star program, but the way I see it, it is only available to suckups right now. Why shouldnt some of the "Unsung Heros" of VMK get a little credit?

I FULLY AGREE. A CL, in which I never seen before, started swearing at my team because we wan in pirates. Then we said we're going to report them and they're like:
"shut up I'm a leader you not."

I think there should be a test for CLs instead of requirments. I have been banned. Most of my friends tend to think I'm cool even with my lack of credits, I know VMK like the back of my hand, and I'm nice to newbies and would never scam. I have changed since my last ban and I wish VMK would give me another chance.

Thanks Sparky. I never knew any feedback had been sent in on me, so I'm glad the first I heard of any, it was positive!

As to CL's treating others differently, it goes both ways. When I am playing on my DS or DD characters, people are nasty, including ppl on this board. People who I know fairly well in game as CL_DaraSue and with whom I have some sort of relationship with from here will turn into complete, well you know what's, in a pirates game if I am playing with one of my kids' account. I've had to report some of them.

Oh, and Top Ten Score? in any game? What is that? I wouldn't have a clue. I am very bad at all the games. If you see me in JC, it's because I'm afk and wanting to earn back some of the 10 credits a ride I'm spending on the dark rides I can get to 50K, no problem, but what's the point of trying when I can crash Ned and get the same 20 credits?. If you see me in fireworks, some stupid quest somewhere required it (can't get past 3000 on that). Pirates? Well, it's either double Thursday, someone was desperate for a fourth for friendly, a quest requires it or I am in a bad mood and want to blow something up!

Oh, and Coolkid, I am convinced that VMK does continue to test us. I swear that some of the guests I help are actually plants from VMK to see if we still do what we signed on to do. The questions they ask are too poignant for your basic tween needing to know his/her way around. I've also been scammed by "guests" who've I've helped, only to find them in a trade room a minute later trading away the gold ears I just gave them (happened twice).
