Fixed Price Menu Options on the Dining Plan

This questions may have already been answered somewhere, but I can't seem to find it.

If you are on the regular dining plan are you able to choose from the fixed price menu available at some restaurants? (i.e. Kona, Chefs De France, Captain's Grille) Just wondering because I sometimes do like to have an appetizer but don't necessarily want to upgrade to the deluxe plan.

Yes, but no substitutions will be allowed. From reports, if you order from this menu you will receive the appetizer, but you may not even substitute out the side dishes. They are great if you want what's on the fixed price menu anyway, but if there's something else you really want you might be better off just ordering that and paying for an appetizer.
