loving you TR so far. the grand welcome is a fantastic idea i looked it up on the disney florist website but not prepared to pay those prizes so creating your own version is a fab idea, we are going in september so will prob do something similar.

Hi just found your TR and I'm loving it. Your girls are so cute and did really well on the flight. I love the boxes that you've done can't wait to see the rest. What website did you use to get all of the stickers for your mouse keeping envelopes? My DD and I always make some before we leave but it's so hard to get decent strikers here (we're in UK as well).

Thank you! I just put all of the boxes in one case (and a few in another) and hoped that security at the airport could tell what they were with their detection scanner things and would realise they were just empty gift boxes. Luckily it worked!

The villas at SSR look so lovely. I've only toured them for DVC but they are so spacious and nice for those 2 bedrooms.

I'm a newly converted Tusker House lover. Such a huge selection of great choices. Those safari themed characters are adorable.

Your family photos at TH and PP photos in AK park are great. What great memories already.

I love SSR, it is such a beautiful resort and the rooms were big enough for us.

Tusker House is great, I am just not that big of a breakfast eater so I don't end up eating much. The characters are great and it is good to see them in different outfits.

Thank you! We were counting for so long, 62 days is definitely something to celebrate! I hope your daughter has a great 5th birthday.

I got the designs for the books from the Creative DISign section on here. One of the Disigners had posted them. I just chose the ones I wanted, printed them and spent lots of evenings cutting them out, rounding off the edges and then putting them together with book rings. I will take some pictures so you can see better.

Sorry, I have been very slow to update this. I have been catching up on TV shows and have started reading again, which takes me away from Dis-ing!

Day 2 part 3, My Mickey's Grand Welcome Part 2

The Preparation, Set Up and Grand Reveal Continued....

Fast forward to our arrival day and while Phil, Dan and Marie were helping the others unpack their car when they arrived, and the girls were in bed asleep, I was unpacking all the boxes and presents.

Phil, Dan and Marie came back and helped. We had tissue paper to put in the boxes, which was really difficult to cut without scissors, then we put all the gifts in the boxes, stacked them up in a pile for each of the girls and hid them behind the TV in the master bedroom so that Madison and Kaley wouldn’t find them in the morning.

The next morning we were up early as normal. We got dressed and gave the girls some cereal. Dan and Marie took Madison and Kaley to the other villa while Phil and I got out all the boxes and started setting up. Dan and Marie came back to help.

Back home, I had also bought some packs of bunting and then printed out letters to stick on them spelling out the girls’ names. We put these up too.

It didn’t take the four of us long to sort this and before long, we were ready and had this set up:























They each had a pile of boxes and a gift bag with a tag with their name, set up in different parts of the living room.

This is nowhere near as detailed or as good as the one that rachandgarry did but I thought they were a bit young for the footprints, Donald feathers, Tink shadow, etc.

We then all left to go to Animal Kingdom.

We had previously had lots of discussions about how to do this and finally decided about a week before the holiday to set it up this way, go to Animal Kingdom for the morning and then all come back together.

The girls' reaction to this will follow soon! ​
