Five Days, Two Families w/Two Styles... OH MY!

I can so relate to some things that happened in your trip report. My ds and I went with another family for our July trip. I told them in advance how I'd "done Disney" in the past and given them all kinds of information about the parks. They pretty much relied on me for everything as well. All in all we had a great time (it's hard not to at Disney) but we had more fun when we split up then when we were together.

It is so frustrating to travel with others who don't see things or do things as you do. Why can't they just do as you say and with a smile on their face Oh well when your in Disney how can you not be happy

Awesome report, thanks for sharing with all!! Our fam went to WDW 2x with very good friends of ours but like many of the posts as well as yours, they have different views of traveling esp to WDW. They like to "sleep-in" and lv the parks early to swim in the pools. NOT my fam, we love to get the most out of the parks, if it means all day and all night. Planning the trip after that my fam sticks with just us 4. Yes, we had plenty of wonderful memories but safer in the long run for the die-hard WDW fans to go with those that are just as die-hard as they are!!!

the part that "amused" me the most was when MrsM would yell at BAM or KAM that standing on line waiting for a character autograph/photo was "wasting money" yet she did not realize that more was wasted by sleeping late! oh, well... i guess i should learn to appreciate those that don't get to the parks 'til after 10am 'cause it means shorter lines for me when my day begins!

Yeah I like to really tell people how I tour. If your not with me then I'll meet you somewhere, sometime. I need to spend as much touring time as possible.
