Ok, I have two breakfast reservations. I am happy with those. They seem very un-obtrusive.

And even though I really want to eat lunch or dinner at Chef Mickey's, Rainforest Cafe and SciFi Diner....I am having a hard time actually MAKING the reservations!!

It seems like all the spontaneity will be gone if we HAVE to be at a certain place at a certain time....

We have Unlimited Park Hoppers so it really shouldn't be an issue...but I am having a hard time getting over it.
Someone give me a SENSE KNOCK!

Some of the spontaneity will be gone but your meals will be better. Do you use Fast Pass? That takes away some spontaneity too. Or do you skip using it so you can either stand in long lines or go to inferior attractions with no lines so that you can be spontaneous? Okay there is your sense knock.;)

We have always found that the WDW experience is better if you plan. That includes meals. If you don't have PS, you will end up either sick of counter service fast food or running around trying to find a place that will take you (the inferior restaurants only sometimes have openings at the times you want to eat) and wasting time.

Good luck. Be spontanious by turning right at the top of Main Street next time instaed of left, not by skipping PS.

I know what you mean - I go back and forth - but then I can't help but make all of my ps's.....at least I know I can cancel ahead of time if I change my mind.

I hate waiting to eat at a restaurant.

Pooh99' I understand what you're saying being that we did that our last trip. The only PS we had was at CM:) With that being said I have arranged a PS for atleast dinner each day we are there this time. We too were tired of counter food. We ate way too many fries and burgers. That gets old after a couple of days. The way I look at it is I have taken time to figure out just where we would like to dine (too many to count) and I make PS. If at any point I feel that we just can't make it are the kids are just too darn cranky :o I will cancel:( At least we have ressies and aren't just stuck with fast food for 8 days. Good luck in planning I too believe that it makes for a better trip:)

Try not think of a PS as a loss of spontaneity but a chance to rest, have a good meal and be ready afterwards to enjoy the evening parades and fire works. You can always cancel the PS's you don't want, but I like knowing that when I am hungry there are options and not long waits.

Disney's restaurants are a big part of the experience.... way better than living on hotdogs and burgrers all week,
if you dont make a couple of priority seatings it may be very difficult to just walk into a place without a very long wait, so ....you may actually be saving time by making a priority seating, hence...more time for spontaneity!!!

have fun!!!

Laura :)
