Ok let me set this up for you and you tell me would you go or not?
We are a family of 8. Hubby and I and our 6 kids. We are AP holders. We have only ever gone in January (twice) and September (every year for the past 8 years).
We will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on July 2nd.
We already have a big trip set up for September this year.
But..... I can't help but think that it being 20 years of marriage (25 total together - we are high school sweethearts) that would should celebrate big.
My husband is a computer geek and works from home. We homeschool year round so we can take breaks whenever.
So we are considering going to WDW for June 28th - July 5th. The house we always rent (no we never stay on site so we can go more often and stay longer) is available for those dates.
Since hubby won't be taking any PTO until our trip in September he would work remote from the house during the day and we would go to parks in the evening and weekends only. Maybe work in a character meal or two.
I might would take the older kids for rope drop a few mornings while the littles stayed with dad. Private pool at the house so we could swim.
With the AP's, the mostly evening hubby time, the heat, crowds and knowing we will be back soon - it wouldn't be a "I gotta do it all trip".
Our cost would be the house rental (a week is under $1000) food and gas.
I'm undecided!
I want to go but I'm used to low crowds. Walk on... No crazy packed parks when we go. I'm scared of summer months. Not too worried about the heat since we live south and know heat but those crowds are a concern.
What would you do? And what am I not thinking about? Advice welcome
