I wish I could find a link to what I just watched...however, here is what the "expert" just said on Paula Zahn now:

Don't exercise on an empty stomach - your body will burn muscle for fuel actually decreasing your muscle mass needed for a higher metabolism.

Don't overdo cardio training at the expense of strength training - again more muscle mass helps your metabolism stay high throughout both day and night.

Six-pack abs: tons of crunches won't help you get there - six packs are seen on lean bodies - lose the fat, see the abs. A moderate amount of ab work is all that's needed to keep muscles strong.

An hour of excercise/day is difficult - 30 minutes a day is perfectly acceptable and preferable to an hour, 3x a week.

Eat foods high in calcium - calcium helps your metabolim burn fat.

Exercise portion control - portions are "out of control", some oversized bagels and muffins are enough food for the whole day according to the "expert".

Good tips - just wish they'd post an article with the above report.
