I am following along too! I am reading your TR and am also going on a mom and dauhgter trip with the addition of my cousin since she is like a sister to me and a daughter to my mom. We are going in May but after you!

Well, I did it. I made one last ADR (for THIS trip).

I thought just snacking would probably not be enough that Saturday, so I scheduled us for a 6:20 PM dinner at Kona.

I would have loved 'Ohana (the moms would have fallen in love), but no matter what I do, I cannot seem to find an opening- not even using the IPO to help me. boo. Although- I AM looking forward to Kona.

Does anyone know if I can order sushi from the restaurant?? I don't want to have to leave Cam and the moms in the restaurant and sneak out to the bar to get my sushi......

Thursday 5/5:
I plan on leaving work an hour early (about 2-ish), head home, load up the car/Cam, and meet my mom at her house. We can leave from mom's and get right on I-95 South for the 3 hours ride to Loxahatchee, FL. We should be arriving at MIL's around 8PM. Knowing Johannie, we'll be up 'till the wee hours of the morning yappin' ...but... come rain, or hail, or sleep-deprived women... we ARE getting in that car by 6:30AM.

Friday 5/6:
Travel from West Palm area (Loxahatchee to be more acurate) to WDW from 6:30-9am. MIL says it's a 2-hour drive, but just in case (and a stop for gas/coffee) we'll plan on getting there at 9am. I am still working on the plan of how to get MIL past the WDW sign and the Magic Kingdom entrance plaza without knowing we're staying at the Poly (suggestions welcomed!!!). Anyways, arrive at Poly and check in with Club Level- store luggage, etc...

If we stay on schedule, we'll be there in time for the CL lounge continental breakfast.

I planned on resort wandering/ shopping until about 2PM, when we'll stop in Captain Cook's for a CS lunch (1 credit). We could take our time getting to the monorail, and head for the EPCOT gates by 4PM.

I have not made a schedule for EPCOT that night because I really just want us to have some fun! As long as Cam gets to ride "Donald's Boat" (her name for the ride in Mexico), and I get a Citron Slush in France... anything goes!

Beirgarten ADR 7:45PM. (TS 1 credit) We will miss illuminations, but 1) Cam hates it, and 2) the moms would rather be enjoying each other's company (and a LITER of beer), and 3) I like Wishes better anyway.

After dinner, I'll hop back on the monorail and take Cam to the room to go to bed. The moms can go crazy. It's EMH I hope they go to Jelly Rolls too!!

Saturday 5/7:
Wake up in time for continental breakfast, then head to the pool. Swim until lunchtime (about 2PM) and eat at Captain Cook's (CS 1 credit).

Head to the room to rest, shower and get dressed for dinner. Stop by the lounge to experience our first "CL evening offerings" at 5PM or so. We will use this as our "apps" for the night, then head to 6:20 ADR at Kona for the entrée. Of course after our Kona entrée, we can head BACK to the lounge for our evening dessert time/cordials.

Sunday (Mother's Day) 5/8:
Wake, Pack, Leave. I planned on checking out at 11AM, leaving the luggage in bell services, and hopping the monorail to our brunch at The Wave (Contemporary). My MIL has dreams of the Contemporary, so I'm sure we can use the extra hour or so to wander/shop there. Afterward, we'll go back to the Poly and load the car to head back to Daytona (my home).

We'll drop DM off at her house on the way to ours, and make it back in time for dinner with DH! (He promised to cook for us that night). After dinner, I'll leave Cam with DH and drive MIL back to her home in Loxahatchee (a little over 3 hours from me). I'll spend the night with her and head back home in the morning.

Quite a plan, I know! Now, let's see if ANY of it works out.

Not the usual shopping addition. I mean, I have that too, but this one's worse.

I cannot seem to stop...CHANGING MY PLANS!
Here's what I mean-

Important to note, before I begin: I am an Annual Passholder, so my "package plans" include room+dining. no tickets, that's separate.

Plan 1:
I take DM, MIL, and DD for a 2 night getaway for Mother's Day. We stay at CARIBBEAN BEACH RESORT, we have DELUXE dining plan. I buy ONE-PARK, ONE-DAY tickets (x2 for two days) for DM, and MIL.

THE PROBLEMS with Plan 1:
We were staying in a standard room with two full-sized beds. Cameran is in no way able to sleep in a pack-n-play and hasn't been since she was 10-mo old. My child is only 2, but she's the size of a 4-yr-old. So, she'd only be willing to sleep with me or DM. Since DM and MIL should never have to sleep in the same bad (weird), DD would have to sleep with DM, and MIL would have to sleep with me. IN FULL-SIZED BEDS?? um. no thanks.

Plan 2:
I take DM, MIL, and DD for a 2 night getaway for Mother's Day. We stay at CORONADO SPRINGS RESORT, we have DELUXE dining plan. I buy ONE-PARK, ONE-DAY tickets (x2 for two days) for DM, and MIL. This change cost me an additional $11. (that's ELEVEN dollars )

THE PROBLEMS with Plan 2:
There WERE no problems with plan 2...yet. We'd have queen-sized beds. All was good. So good in fact, that Aunt #1 overheard a conversation about said wonderful plan that I was having with MIL, and we HAD to invite her (although, I will admit, I loved the idea of inviting her!!) Since we invited her though... we also had to invite Aunt #2.

Plan 3:
Same reservation, add another room.

THE PROBLEMS with Plan 3:
Both aunts cancelled, changing their plans to take DgM on a cruise. Cancelled their room.

THEN, a flippin' fabulous AP rate code popped up!!! After I manipulated several "dummy" reservations, using that code, I realized that I could be staying at the BOARDWALK INN for the SAME PRICE!

Plan 4:
I take DM, MIL, and DD for a 2 night getaway for Mother's Day. We stay at BOARDWALK INN, we have DELUXE dining plan. I buy EPCOT AFTER 4PM ANNUAL PASSES for DM, and MIL, since that costs me LESS than two days of one-park. The upgrade to BWI from CSR cost me... NOTHING.

THE PROBLEMS with Plan 4:
Again, there WERE none, except that I can't leave well-enough alone! So, getting nervous that the AP Rate code would evaporate into thin air when I wasn't looking , I started tinkering again with the plan. About 45 minutes into creating several more "dummy" reservations..............................................

WHAT?!?!

POLY CLUB LEVEL (if I were to downsize the dining plan from deluxe to regular) $142 more for the trip?!? Do you realize at this point, I do not need to hear the verbal prompts from the WDW travel company on the automated system?! Here's what my DH heard from the kitchen that night, while I called WDW Travel Company in the living room on speaker phone:
"Thank you for ca/ "RESERVATIONS!"/ Ok, Wh/ "RESORT RESERVATIONS!"/ Ok, Wh/ MODIFY EXISTING RESERVATION/ OK, are you cu/ NO!/ Ok, first we ne/ [enter all my numerical information here]/ Next, please both sa/ I-N-F-A-N-T-E, INFANTE!.... YES!!

At this point, my DH peaked his head around the corner of the kitchen wall, looking like he was either terrified or impressed (later I found our it was terror ) When I got the CM on the phone what she SAID was "Thank you for calling the Walt Disney World Travel Company..." However, what I HEARD was "I hate my job and I am prepared to ruin your day, how may I assist you?" so, I hung up. Dialed again. started automated, neurotic behavior all over again.

A wonderful CM answered that time, changed my plans for me, then I told her this tip for dealing with me: "Please put this in my file- because I KNOW I have one (kinda like I know my chart at the doctor's office reads "medication non-compliant." ) Please say NEXT TIME SHE CALLS, HANG UP!" She said I made her day.

PLAN 5- CURRENT AND LAST!!
I take DM, MIL, and DD for a 2 night getaway for Mother's Day. We stay at DISNEY'S POLYNESIAN RESORT, CLUB LEVEL, we have REGULAR dining plan. I already bought EA4 Annual Passes for DM, and MIL.

This trip sounds great...all girl trip!!! I thought Kona was a nice little place. We enjoyed the food there. But keep trying for 'Ohana...maybe something will open up!

Your trip sounds so fun and i love the little touches you made.. I will see you on your way out.. we are staying at the BW may 4th -may 8th.. and then the morning of May 8th checking into the Poly.. its my dream trip.. so i can't imagine how excited your MIL will be..
