Fishing

Hi!
We will be going home for the first time in January. I have a question about recreation...can my DH, DS and Dad do the catch and release fishing at POR, even though they are not guests of the hotel? Is there a program like that at any of the DVC properties that they can use? Thank you!

yes they can go to POR and do the fish and lease if they want too

OKW and PO use to have a dawn fishing meet - if was pretty expensive (from my point of view). when you arrive at OKW ask about the fishing.

if they are really serious - FW always has fishing.

My DH loves to fish. When we used to stay at POR, he never caught anything at the resort catch & release.

Now he does the fishing excursion every trip. It is kind of expensive. But he really enjoys it. You are renting the boat and guide and since he goes alone, they usually stay out a little longer than they are supposed to. He always catches a lot of fish. You can book these from a variety of resorts. He seems to like going from the Contemporary...they take you out into the lake behind the Contemporary past WL and FW. Just wanted to mention it...if they really like to fish, I think it is worth it.
