Has anyone gone fishing with their families. My DH and DS love fishing. I'm looking for any info I can get. What lakes are best? We're staying at BC and it might be easy to launch there. Where do they fish there? Do you go into Epcot or just by the resort? What do you think? Thanks!

The fishing area on that lake is between the Swan and the MGM dock; we've never fished it, but you can see the guides out there casting all the time to test the catch. Bay Lake is a much better fishing area, if I were going to pay WDW's boat prices I would want to fish there. Here is the page from this site that lists all the fishing programs: http://www.wdwinfo.com/recreation/fishing.htm

If you have a car you might also consider fishing the local park lakes. There are some nice ones, and it won't cost nearly as much as fishing at WDW. There is a state park in Clermont where you can fish off the bank for the price of a license, and there are very affordable canoe rentals at Hontoon Island. These would require you to bring your own tackle.

If cost is no object and you want to go all out, charter a trip for them on Mosquito Lagoon near New Smyrna Beach. Not cheap, but that is some seriously good fishing.
