Fishing Poll (not pole)

How do you feel about fishing?
I grew up going fishing quite often with my dad, so to me fishing is a really good memory. This past year I was able to take both my kids fishing for the very first time. We had a blast. My daughter caught the biggest fish, but my son caught the most fish.
So I will vote that I enjoy fishing, and go when I get a chance.

As a child I went on several vacations where I fished and enjoyed it some what. As an adult I can take it or leave it.
DH loves to fish. And we have ponds in our subdivision that he and the kids can fish in. And we do take vacations where the whole thing revolves around fishing too. I usually find some needed shopping to do!!
But when DH fishes with the kids he really doesn't get much time for fishing himself.

LOL, I said other. When I grew up, the parents going fishing meant the kids could do what we wanted. Which meant swimming, laying on the beach, dancing at the beachhouse, flirting with boys. It was fun and I never was able to get into trouble, the older kids kept the younger in line.

The last time I went fishing, I was 6 months pregnant and in a canoe, it was a hot summer Georgia day on a breezeless lake with mosquitos the size of eagles and they looked like aliens. I haven't been since.

I have been fishing a few times, mostly with my brother, the avid boatman. Other than the fact that I caught more fish than he did, it just seemed like a pointless activity. I have no problem with anyone sitting around and wetting a line for hours on end, but I have ADD--I gotta move! and make noise! Fishing is not for me I'd rather have my head stapled to the ground

I went once. I hated it. My brother loves it though. He's the only one in my family who actually enjoys it.

I didn't vote for every chance I get because I just roll over when DH gets up at 3 a.m. to fish before work! I love fishing and I live in one of the best places in the world to do it. My kids love it too. DS fishing:

Not my cup of tea. I don't like the outdoors, don't care for eating fish, and always found the idea of catch-and-release kind of mean.

My grandad's side of the family loves it. They have an annual fishing trip where a lot of that side of the family gets together and camps. Someone always brings a video camera and at Thanksgiving we're treated to shaky handheld footage of folks gutting their catch for the day.

I voted other. I used to love it when I was a kid, but now not so much. My DH and sons all love fishing though and go every chance they get.
