I do not recall any fishing excursions in Nassau.
Can you just fish off shore? Do they allow you to bring a "pole"
I ask this because my husband is a fly fisherman (catch and release only) and is hopeing to be able to fish on Nassau in August 2005..

good questions does anyone know the answer? also, is there some kind of fishing license you have to buy? or is there a place to rent fishing poles so we don't have to drag them with us?

I am seeking the same info, only western cruise 7 day. I looked in orvis sites and fly fisherman, to no avail.

I know this is an old one but i am wondering if anyone knows the answer yet!

don't know the answer, but if you are that interested in fishing in Nassau, youshould contact the Nassau/Bahamas Tourisim/Visitors bureau or look on thier web site. I am sure they can help you.

I think some people on our cruise booked fishing excursions with local charter boats. You have a full day in Nassau, so there should be time. However, some of the boats we saw in Nassau didn't appear to be very seaworthy. I'm glad we did the bottom fishing on CC.

There are local charters b/c my husband and I took one out while we vacationed in the Bahamas. I don't remember the name. I'm sure you could find out by calling one of the local hotel resorts.

Thank you for your help if anyone could recommend a local charter or a place you can fish off land that would be great. I will call the bahamas when I get closer to my trip
