fishing for bass

My husband wants to take our boys fishiny when we are in orlando. Has anyone done a bass charter and recommend anyone.

They do one from the marina at Fort WIlderness. They also rent fishing poles at the "Bike Barn" by the pool there also. We fish there often and have caught bass in the lakes and canals around the Fort, just using hot dogs from the shop there

My husband and son did the bass fishing excursion from the marina at fw. We booked a 7am for the two of them (I think you can have 5 people) and they loved it! It was 270 and they also tipped the captain. I think you were allowed to bring 5 people total. You can book as early as 90 days out or as late as 24 hours in advance based on availability. 407-WDW-BASS
They have longer trips as well. We will be booking it again next trip.

Thank but the boys are wanting to hit lake toho or one of the other lakes...we aren't staying at disney.

I highly recommend On Point Bass Fishing with Captain Russel Cline. I have chartered with him twice. He meets you at the bait shop where you get your live bait for the day and then to the dock on Lake Toho. He provides all of the equipment including rain gear should you need it. We did a four hour charter each time and it was just Captain Russel, my son and me. Very personalized service and we caught some beautiful large mouth bass and pike. Outstanding time and we have already booked with him for our next visit this Spring. You can find him on Facebook and his website is www.onpointbass.com. If you book a Lake Toho trip, I would recommend doing an early morning trip on a weekday. It's something like 5:45 a.m. for the meet but you will get better fish and will avoid the busy time on the lake. I have heard that the weekend is busy with fishing and jet skis.
