fishing excursion was highlight of our trip!

Just thought I would share some details of our fishing excursion for those who might be considering it...
There was some confusion about the price when we were booking. Everywhere I looked, I found a different price but the actual price was $225 for 2 hours, included drinks and bait. We were picked up at the Boardwalk and fished that lake and the lake IN Epcot!! How cool! You can only do that if you take the 7 a.m. excursion. And I was told when I booked that they would NOT take us in to Epcot, but boy was that wrong!! My dd caught a 3lb 11 oz. large mouth bass. We all caught several fish a piece and just had a wonderful time. Our guide was Terry and I HIGHLY recommend you ask for him. He was the BEST. He was so good with the kids. I really thought that my dh and I wouldn't really get to do much fishing because we would be helping the kids the whole time, but Terry was so good that we hardly had to help them at all.
A LOT of things went wrong on this trip, but the fishing excursion was the one thing that went so right. I would do that over going to the parks any day!

We were considering this too but the pricing is confusing because they have different excursions. Sounds like a lot of fun!! I know Dh and the boys would really enjoy this.

We did the one from the Poly. Its all my ds keep talking about. I caught the most fish, how about you? Did they charge you extra for the bait? Our guide did. She said we were using too much. Was it my fault the fish were really biting? Glad you had a great time. We did the later one, like 9-11 and boy was it hot. Looks like I will put it back on our list for next time too.

My kids take the kids fishing trip out of the BW every trip and Terry is the absolute best......He is wonderful to the kids and usually there are just our kids on the boat so we get lots of attention...

update....just found out that they no longer are doing the kids fishing trips... very sad.....it was my families favorite thing to do...

I wonder why they discontinued the kids fishing! That's a shame as that is something we might have done in the future as well as the family excursion. Glad to hear that you have met Terry and only wish we'd met him sooner!! You can tell that he truly enjoys the kids.
