Hi,

Does anyone know if deep sea fishing is available anywhere near Vero Beach?

Many thanks,
Andy

I have not been fishing at Vero but I believe you could arrange a trip from Capt Hiram's, a marina about 10 minutes North on A1A. I have been to the marina and there is a link to the boats off this website.

My son and I went in 2001 deep sea fishing while staying at VB. We chartered a boat out of Capt'n Hirams marina in Melborne I beleive it was. This was not a "party" boat with a bunch of people. It was just the captain, my son and myself. We left around 6am and returned that afternoon around 2-3pm. We had a blast!!! Caught Cuda, King, Dolphin, and I caught several 4' sharks. We bottomed fished. We went about 20-30 miles out into the Atlantic, caught bait and then started in fishing. It was a bright, sunny day and light breeze. We also fished the Indian River for Tarpan. Didn't catch any, but had fun trying anyway. Both of these trips are "expensive". Both captain's supplied all of the fishing gear and licenses. All we needed were eats and drinks.

Hope this helps some.
