Can anyone give me some fishing at FW advice? Where to go? What bait to use? etc. Going first week in November. Thanks!!

Any of the backside canals, we have had good luck by the lock/dam behind the 300 (?) loop. Try your hand with some pumpkin colored Berkley power bait worms. Good Luck

1) Almost any water (creek or lake) is good.
2) We find misbehaving 2-yr-olds make the best bait.

Use fishing rods and reels!!! make sure you have a hook on the end with bait. A lot of folks use live shiners if you can get them, worms, or powerbait work. Also make sure you a have a cooler with beer!!!!! BTW watch out for the alligators, if you are fishing in the spring..

When I was a CM in 2004, my BF at the time took me to FW to go fishing. It was my first time to fish. He took a spoon and dug worms out from the ground and put a squirmy one on the pole. Within a minute I had a fish on my hook! I pulled it out and was so excited I started to jump up and down! The fish fell back into the water. That ended my fishing career at FW. BUT if it's allowed (and I can't imagine it's not?) FREE squirmy worms are great bait! :thumbsup2
