Has anyone ever fished at POR? I saw that you could fish for like 30 minutes for $3.75. They supply the cane pole and hot dogs as bait. Have you heard of it or done it? Catch anything?

We did this on our last trip to POFQ...it was fun, but we didn't catch anything except some bug bites!

My 3 yo at the time loved it. The water by the fishin' hole isn't very deep.

We fished everytime we visited POR when DD was younger. It was absolutely the most fun. The fish caught were very small (Croppies, catfish and blue gill), released immediately after a photo was taken and placed in a gift frame *(no extra charge) for DD. The photo frame is a card-type, where the CM fills in the vitals (size/weight, etc. of the fish caught...and the ONE THAT GOT AWAY too!). It's a nice souvenier. She always enjoyed the experience, whether she caught a fish or not. It's close to the pool, and is a small, shallow area [as described by Hillbeans). Give it a try for some fun!
