In your experience, how many people were on your FE list? At the moment there are only three families on my cruise meet as we are so far out from sail date.

I had this brilliant idea in the middle of the night, something light, easy to pack and won't cause my DH to go mad at the amount of luggage I'm bringing to the US from NZ. I got up and did some research at 2AM and went back to bed. :rolleyes1 Now I'm all keen to get started way out in order to get all the sewing done in time.

Also do FE gifts have to be Disney themed? I'm having a job getting any Disney themed fabric in NZ but I have loads of choice for Kiwiana (NZ themed stuff). Kiwiana would be special for me as I'm pretty sure we will be the only Kiwis on the FE list.

We had 22 families on our FE exchange when we did it.

As for Disney themed, no, it really doesn't need to be Disney only. Some do, some don't. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

On last years WBTA we had so many involved we broke it down to groups of 15 rooms. We had 4 or 5 groups (can't remember right off the top of my head). It was felt that to include everyone in one giant FE exchange would be too many gifts for everyone to pack and carry.

The gift doesn't have to be Disney. I think something more related to you would be cool.

:cutie:

Thank you kindly. I think I'll factor on 25 families of 4 people each - that way everyone gets some. Better do 10 over too for just in case senarios. Hmm, I feel the need to go to the fabric shop without the males in the house!

Many people bring gifts that are made or produced in their country, province, state..etc. They were some of the most interesting gifts!

I really enjoyed the f.e. gifts that were from the families home or their specific culture. Those were the best in my opinion. The handmade gifts also were very sentimental to my family.

We only had 10 families on ours. In the last couple of weeks before the cruise we had 3-4 families that wanted to join, but most of us already had our gifts purchased in made. I had to ship mine down and allow at least a week for them to get there. Just an FYI to anyone interested....join early!

I think the gifts relating to your your hometown, state, country, etc are the most special ones - everyone will love your gifts

We are doing a B2B cruises in November - on the furst cruise we have 53 people participating and on the 2nd cruise we have about 16 right now. It really hard to base it on other cruises though - you just never know!

On our August cruise we had so many we split in two groups, each around 27.

My cruise two years ago had about the same, 27 or so (CABINS, not people).

The cut off was in May but there are still new people asking to join so maybe a 3rd group will be added. I agree, plan early!
