i'm confused. what else is new?? anyway, i thought i read once that you could get fish & chips in epcot at a counter service restaurant, but i can't find anything about it anywhere. can't even find the post anymore. do i need to have a PS for Rose & Crown to get fish & chips, or is there somewhere that sells them at a counter? DH has his heart set on having some, but i don't want to make a PS there -- doesn't fit in the schedule!! LOL. Thanks for the help.

You can get some at Columbia Harbour House in MK. I've heard they are good, I eat the chicken there. Sorry, can't help with Epcot.

When we were there in '03, Rose and Crown had a counter service window.

thanks again!

Yummy This is one of our favorite treats. The two pieces is the perfect size in that summer heat! Thank you for reminding me.

Ahhhh Woodpecker!

The last time I was at Epcot...they were not serving Woodpecker at the carryout next to the Rose and Crown (.Yorkshire County Fish Shop)'..I was bummed! (this was 10-04)

Was that a fluke or have they done away with the wonderful hard cider that can only taste so go when drank at EPCOT?

Is there anywhere close by to sit and eat the take out fish ?

And Happy St. Patrick's Day to all :shamrock: :shamrock: :shamrock:

Yes - there are outdoor tables but depending on how crowded - you may end up on the edge of a 2-3ft tall block wall rightin front of the carry out.

I love the food but have rarely been able to get a table. I like to take my food and eat it siting in the gardens.

DH and I always make it a point to get those fish & chips! Soooo yummy! We usually grab those and get the girls McD's nuggets/fries and park it on a bench and people watch while we eat :)

The fish and chips at the Yorkshire take-out window are great. My DD proclaims them to be better than the entree served in the Rose and Crown. They are always fresh and the chips are actually steak fries. There is limited seating to the right of the take-out window but we usually walk behind the shops in Great Britain and eat near the stage where the British Invasion plays.

We went to Yorkshire for early luch right as World Showcase was opening (in Nov) and sat up on the porch right behind the shop (stoned area with tables overlooking the lagoon). It was fabulous and so was the food! The ducks showed up to beg some food too. It's the little things like that from WDW that make the most wonderful memories!

We've must have eaten there on a really off night. We thought it was horrible. So bad we tossed it! Captain D's has much better flavor. Maybe hearing so many positives will convince us to give it another try.

On the positive side, I remember us finding a table down close to the water where we were able to 'enjoy' our fish.
