I just made ADRs for our Nov trip and am planning on dinner at Akershus and CRT. Dh is basically a pescatarian (and not a huge fan of eating pasta out). Please share your thoughts and opinions on the fish entrees at these 2 restaurants!! He's considering skipping CRT dinner so me and dd3 would go to CRT while he and ds1 would go elsewhere (probably the Wave or maybe a cs and then we could use the 2 TS to go to Crystal Palace or something).

The #1 complaint I see about Akershus is that it's too much fish! :rotfl: Seriously, my DH and I are both "basically pescatarian" (such a perfect description!) as well and Akershus may be the menu he's most excited about ... besides the entrées (I think they have a salmon entree and some sort of white fish also ... the vegetarian entrée is pasta, but it looked really good to me also) there are also smoked fish (salmon and herring) prepared various ways on the appetizer bar. We actually booked it because we read a review that said "I hate Akershus, there were three kinds of salmon on the buffet and that was all except for cheese and fruit" and DH was like "three kinds of salmon is my idea of heaven!"

We haven't gone yet, but I'm definitely going to be posting our pescatarian reviews when we get back. We're not planning to do CRT though. (You do know that the dinner is only the Fairy Godmother and Suzy and Perla [mice], right?)

I've had the salmon at both places. (I am a big fish fan since I don't eat any other meat either)!! The salmon in Norway was pretty good. The salmon at CRT was pretty bad. I thought it was really overcooked. I was not impressed overall with CRT though. DH would definitely skip it if we ever booked it again (he didn't like his meat dish either).

We've enjoyed the salmon for dinner at Akershus as well. Well, cooked and tasty. And, although you didn't ask, they also have a great open-faced salmon sandwich at lunch that is served with a cup of seafood chowder, and that is awesome! :thumbsup2

I can't help you on CRT for dinner though...never been!

I'm a fellow pescaterian and the salmon at CRT was yummy. I had no problems with it. I also find that most restaurants at the world incorporate some type of fish entree into their menus. He should be fine. Also, columbia harbour house seems to have good options if you're looking for a counter service meal in MK. Sunshine seasons in Epcot, and Yak and Yeti in Animal Kingdom are some other options for the other parks. I made a little personal list so I won't have to search it out while I'm there. Good luck. Have a great trip.

Thanks for the feedback! I think we'll just keep it as is, it's more about the experience there anyway right? :goodvibes

We'll just make sure to specify to cook the salmon lightly (?) and thanks Tillygold, I know about the CRT dinner. :thumbsup2
