First week of november decorations/crowds?

We are arriving Nov 1 staying through the 6th. I know they are filming the Christmas parade on Saturday. Is there a chance we will get to see some Halloween and the start of Christmas in places other then main street? We've never gone at Christmas time and would love to even get a glimps of the magic!! Also, how does the taping effect crowds in the park? I assume main street will be packed, but what about lines and maneuvering the rest of the park? I'll be on my first just mommy and my 2 DS trip and wondering if it would be best to avoid DL that day.

Unfortunately no, unless you see what remains as they take the HalloweenTime decorations down after Oct 31.

Christmas season starts on Nov 12.
