First week of June vs. Last week in March

This will be our first trip since 2016(planning for 2019), and for once my wife's spring break aligns with our kids' spring break. It's at the end of March (would probably be looking at March 23rd-30th). Was wondering if people have gone in that time frame previous years and how was it? Normally, we go the first week in June, so we're used to crowds and heat. We also use touringplans, fastpasses and childswap to the best of our abilities and hit the parks early. Has anyone traveled at both of those times and have any input on whether one is dramatically different than the other? TIA!

Well, Easter is late April next year so, although busy, it shouldn’t be the worst. And the weather would be AMAZING and it would still be a festival in Epcot. All that would have me considering Spring Break.

Look at the crowd predictions of touringplans, once you subscribe. I would imagine they would be better at predicting with their computer models and spring break surveys than most posters. Unfortunately your March week is a really popular spring break week and will in all likelihood be busier than that busy first week in June. That's a shame, as the weather is glorious in March and so much nicer than June. So do you want nicer weather, but a really busy time or the hot week you have a really good feel for that is busy, but less busy than March?

If it were me, I would go for March anyway, but I can't deny that popular spring break weeks unfortunately are getting busier than ever and are heavier crowds than summer. I love Orlando in March, though, and don't care to be there in the summer. I'm sure you'll have a great trip whatever you pick. Touringplans, some rope drop, good use and reserving of advanced fastpasses will be important for either time. Have fun!

Against popular advice, I would plan for June.
March (no matter what Easter's date) is incredibly busy. Schools no longer program spring break according to the Easter holiday making mid March through much of April crazy busy.
June, on the other hand (especially early to mid month) seems much less busy. The north and mid west schools aren't out yet and not many people want to take their kids out of school right near finals.
Just my humble opinion...

I went with my family in early June of '15 and then went this past March, dates were around the 15th to the 22nd. The crowds seemed to be around the same between the 2 trips but it was so much nicer in March because of the weather. Keep in mind, my trips were almost 3 years apart, and my March dates are a week before yours so maybe later March is busier than middle March? Epcot is my fave park and during March/spring is when they have more flowers and topiaries so that is a plus for March too, at least for me.

We were booked for last week of March for this year and moved it to June because of flights. Flights were 1200/pp then and only 300/pp in June. On top of that our reservation with WDI went down by over 1K as well. That’s a whole Disney trip we saved by moving.

I know it will be hotter, but touring plans had much lower crowds in June.
