We have a split stay and I called DVC to book using the 180 days + 10. And I was surprised I could not book BOG for lunch. Was already booked for the entire stay And we are staying 9 nights.

I did get beaches and cream for a decent supper time.

Didn't get what we would like for NYE but I figured we wouldn't because that is the beginning of our trip but for many the end of their trip. So they would have had The entire week to already have made their ressie for that day.

And I could not get the plaza, I cannot remember right now if the plaza is taking lunch reservations or not.

Did you make any reservations at Hollywood Studios in January? I couldn't make any January reservations there. Brown Derby was available on NYE, but nothing in January.

I did not try for there. I might try for Minnie holiday party but I do not see it offered yet. We only wanted a couple of places. I did just get the Plaza for NYE, it will give us a place to sit and chill a bit. DH enjoys the plaza.

I guess the dining reservations doing the 180n + 10 you have to call member services? My Disney experience only goes out to 1/4/19, my stay starts 1/6/19...am I correct that I have to call member services to get the extra booking window?

No, you shouldn't need to. Once your window opens up (180 days from your check in day of 1/6) then you should be able to make all of your reservations.

Yes I understand that once I reach my 180 day booking window I can make the reservations on line but the OP said she could make reservations 180 days + 10 which would equal 190 days out. I'm not able to do that on-line at My Disney Experience. I'm guessing I need to call member services, is that correct?

No, you should not need to call MS. One of the perks of staying on site is that once your window opens you can book reservations for up to 10 days (those that stay off site must book day by day and do not get the 10 day window). Unless you have a technical issue you will not need to call MS to do this, you will be able to book on the app or on the website, you just will not see your +10 window until 180 days from your check in day, which is why in my original post I said that once your window opens up you should be able to make all of your reservations (unless of course you are staying more than 10 days).

You cannot book 190 days in advance of your check in day, what you can do is book for 10 days of reservations once your window opens, which it will not do until 180 days from your check in day.

I had to call DVC not the regular dining line. The first 3 days was in my friends membership. The last half of my trip was under my 2 different contacts. But it is all linked. I could not book the last 2 days of my trip using mydisneyexperience until today. Off to see of BOG opened for lunch.

Update. Still can not book last 2 nights of split stay thru mydisneyexperience, even though linked. I will have to call DVC.

You are supposed to be able to do 180+10 (or actual stay if less). That means at 180 days out from arrival, you should be able to book your dining reservations for the entire trip unless it is longer than 10 days. If you have a split stay, you may not be able to book online except separately for each stay because the reservations are separate. Then you might also have the problem I have. Since they started allowing dining reservtions online many years go, the 180 + 10 has worked for me exactly one trip. For every other trip, I had to call to do anything other than 180 days out per reservation. I have informed them numerous times of the issue and it has never been fixed.

At least for FP+ you should be able to book them online once you are 60 days out from the checking date of the first reservarion. It recognizes split stays.

Thank you all, I misunderstood. I thought I could start booking 190 days prior to check-in...I now understand that just means that I can book as many as 10 day out from my check-in day. I have been doing this for quite some time, I thought there was something new that I didn't know about...glad this is now clear in my head. :)
