First week of December--are there usually discounts?

Our dates this year are December 1-6th. I know last year this week was blacked out from free dining. I'm ok with that, so long as there's a room-only discount available. There was in 2012 when we went around that time. I just read on a blog that usually the first week of December has no discounts. Is this true? Anyone with experience know the likelihood of a room-only discount being offered for those dates?

My guess is that there won't be a GP discount for the beginning of December. The current BB that's being offered shows 12/1-12/10 as being blacked out, with the discount starting 12/11 and going through 12/23. Nobody can say for sure whether or not there will be a discount for early December as anything is possible, but the chances are unlikely (IMO) if those dates aren't included in the BB.

Historically there have been room only discounts for that week, just no free dining.
