First visit to OKW in Jan

Building 14 is right across from HH bus stop.

The buildings back by the Turtle shack aren't too bad either! A relaxing pool with a bus stop right around the corner

There are only a few bldgs that have elevators (62,63,64), so if anyone in your party has mobility issues, request "elevator or ground floor" for medical reasons.
Also, contrary to popular belief (which I've seen here on the DIS from time to time), if you do get a 2nd or 3rd floor in a bldg that has no elevators, you do not need to carry all your own luggage up the steps. OKW does have a Bell staff that will be happy to assist you in moving in/out.

We will also be making our first trip home to OKW in January. The only request I made was for a non smoking room. Other than that, we'll take whatever they give us. We're not very picky and long walks don't bother us at all.

We made our first trip home a couple of weeks ago. I dont think you could be dissapointed anywhere they put you. It's a beautiful place!! Have fun!

After more stays at OKW than I can even remember, I no longer request an area. My only request is "non-smoking for medica reasons" (asthma here), and I have never been disappointed no matter where we have been at OKW. I do have preferences though. While it is nice to be near Hospitality House to be close to the final bus stop, my favorite spot is South Point, which is the farthest from HH. We love the views from buildings 45, 46, 55, 56. I'd stay there every time if I could! The distance to HH is not an issue, since any bus will stop there before it exits the resort, making it easy to access from any part of the property. I also don't mind a 5 minute walk either as long as the weather is nice.

You will enjoy OKW no matter what bldg you are in.

Make sure you take a boat trip down to DTD.
