and I need help planning our one day trip wisely!

Some questions:

1) How early should we get to the park?

2) With 3 teenagers, what is the best way to do the "bigger" rides (like get the FP right away and do something else while we wait)?

3) If you only had one day @ MK, what wouldn't you miss? I do have a 10 yr. old also.

4) Should I buy my tickets on line or wait until we get there?

I know it's taken me entirely too long to get back to WDW  , but any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!

I will give you the single best piece of advice I can on this:

I would ADD at least one more day at MK.
One day will simply not cover it.
(It would depress me to only have one day to spend at MK, and I make 3 trips per year to WDW.)

And, in general, I would always (ALWAYS) be at the front gate 30 minutes before any park opens. It can make a big difference in your day.

I agree with Robo. If you can possibly take more than one day to visit MK, I would definitely recommend it.

1 - Agree with Robo. I would be there 30 minutes before opening.
2 - Yes, work with Fast Passes to get on the big rides like you mentioned. Also, we tend to send someone to get the fastpasses. I can walk a lot faster on my own than trying to keep the party together on the way over and back.
3 - My *don't miss* list included Pirates, HM, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Small World, Mickey's Philharmagic, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, Carousel of Progress and the TTA. And a cheeseburger from Pecos Bill's. :)
4 - Buy tickets ahead of time, don't waste time in lines at the ticket booths.

Thank you both so much for responding!!! It would be possible to add another day there, but since I am vacationing with other family members (not just my children) I don't know how they would feel about that. We are in hot pursuit of Disney $$ so that may make a big difference in what we will be able to do! Thanks again!

Do you want to experience the big ticket attractions since you were last there? You'll lose some time in transit from one park to the next but get park hoppers and here goes:

1) At MK you should try Buzz Lightyear, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder.

2) At Epcot you MUST go on Soarin'. Test Track is fun, Mission Space(consider the tame version), and if you've never been on Spaceship Earth, it's worth a shot.

3) At MGM go for Tower of Terror, Rock N' Roller Coaster, Star Tours(if you have Star Wars fans), and Muppet Vision 3D.

4) At AK, go for Expedition Everest and the Kilimanjaro Safari.

Anything else you can squeeze in would great, but you'll wear yourself out trying to get all of this in.
