First Visit to Disney

Hello Everyone,

Well it's official, I am addicted!! This morning while having my coffee I found myself thinking,"oh wow I wonder what is new on the DIS boards?" Even before facebook!!!

So here is the scoop with me, we will be going to Disney world as a family trip in November (it's getting close!!!) There are 11 of us going and this is a first trip for 6 of us. the last trip was November 1993, Needless to say our little family has grown!!

I was wondering if some of you Abundantly talented designers could come up with something special for our first timers. The first timers are mainly the grandkids, I have taken my kids (now 33 and married with their own kids) many times over the years but this is my first trip with the grands and their very first visit ever!!

I was thinking of something like "My mom told me this place was great", " I have seen pictures of this place" or "so this is what my Dad was always talking about".. I am not the creative ones so I will leave it up to y'all to make the final determination.

if so, names (male or female?) and any must have characters or colors?

Tammy,

A couple of things you should know. A lot of DISigners have their own threads. They visit the main thread forum to help fill requests when they have free time, or their thread is slow. Often times, when I visit the main thread, I will try and fill a request, but sometimes get busy and forget. (Thats why I will often ask them to post their request on my thread, so I don't forget, and don't lose where I'm supposed to post the request.) I'm sure Marion (Rustmanfan) has just forgotten. She doesn't love to have PM's, but maybe visit one of her other threads and see if she remembers saying that she would do this for you. Post the link so she can easily get back to where you requested.

We all do this for free. And, we all know this means a lot to those that we make things for. In part, that's why we do it, gratification of making someone happy, or a trip a little more special. I started doing this because long ago, someone made me DISigns, and I wanted to learn, and now give back.

If it's Marion's design, she does not like links, and DO NOT quote her or repost her picture to identify it, and she will get ticked, and will tell you so. She wants the file name only. You can get this by clicking into the picture, and it ususally is at the top. Every other designer is pretty easy going. I personally like links, because then I don't have to go searching.

To get the link, click into the picture, and you will see an IMG code (which is full size) or the IMG Thumb. Copy the URL. Paste it in the reply. That's it.

Guess there was a misunderstanding and I'm sorry about that.....I never actually volunteered but needed the details to consider it and think if I had ideas. (what about my character and color questions?) Giving me total artistic freedom is somewhat scary....this is often how I end up creating multiple possibilities as the feedback reveals what might have been wanted in the first place.....nobody's fault really. Just different strokes for different folks.

I need more of an idea of what you would like on the DISign.....open-ended when your taste may be very different than mine may not be the best idea.

I have NO idea what "stuff" of mine you like and what direction to take. Perhaps a visit to my Family Names folder on Photobucket will help you guide me in the right direction?

Hi RustManFan...hoping you can help me out

We're visiting the World next year with another family who have never been before. I'm making shirts for all of us. I've never done this before, so please advise if I'm doing it incorrectly.

I love this one of yours:

Would you be able to customize this for me? One family is "Klim" and one is "Chamberlin". We would need one that says "2012". Do you think it would look funny without the little Mickey & Minnie heads? Also, do you think it will look funny having one long name and one short name? I imagine they'd have to be different font sizes.

Thank you so much in advance. I'm a newbie at the shirt stuff and I really have no idea how to go about doing any of this!

OK Apparently "Rust Man fan" has decided not to take this project on after all, I have not heard anything for two weeks now and I think she was a little hesitant to do it based on the follow up posts anyway : .... SO I am tossing it back into the ring to see if SOMEONE ELSE will take this on. Let me know if you need more info and I will be more than happy to get you what ever you will need. It was just an idea I had and would have liked, but it is no big deal if it can't happen. just thought i would try and see if someone would help me out or not. I went back to review the thread. At the time of your posting, I had no time to try and help. I have a little now, so... here are my questions.

Do you want the names as a name fill? Do you want the same design (background) with just the name changed on the design?

The way you have the list listed, I'm confused. I'm not sure why it matters if someone's dad has been to WDW. What kind of a design are you looking for?
