First Visit/Birthday Trip

So my solo trip for my birthday in a few weeks turned into a trip for two with one of my friends from the class I'm attending in Florida wanting to come as well. Even better is it will be her first time! Taking that into account, when I added a plus one to my resort reservation I made sure to say we were celebrating her first visit along with my birthday when asked that question over the phone. My question is does this mean anything to the resort (POR) we will be staying at? I have heard in the past something is done to the rooms but I'm not sure. I'm wondering what to expect but I'm not telling her what they do if they do anything for first visit (her) and birthdays (me). Have to leave a little magic somewhere!

At check-in you should get a Happy Birthday button and she will get a first visit button to wear. If you do wear them to the parks and around the resort almost every CM you come across will say something to you and/or her.

As the PP said, if you wear your Happy Birthday and first visit buttons you will get plenty of good wishes from Castmembers during your visit. However, beyond that there is nothing that is automatically done either at the resorts or parks for anyone celebrating a special event or milestone. Probably more than half of the guests in DW are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding, engagement, first visit, family reunion, special life milestone or some other significant moment so it's not possible to provide something special for everyone. At some restaurants you might get a cupcake or special dessert, confetti on the table, signed card or the CMs might not even acknowledge your special event at all. As you said, it's best not to expect anything and let the magic happen if it does.
