This is going to be about my 10th time to Disney. However it is my first visit as a DVC member and driving!! We are going to have 4 Adults and 4 Boys and 2 Infants (1 & under). I hope you guys can give me some in's and out's on the parking situation?? Do we get a discount on parking @ the parks? Do we have to pay to park @ Saratoga Springs? Are there special things they do for the memebers @ the hotels or parks? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!! :flower3:

Parking is free for DVC members at the parks and resorts as long as you are staying on points at one of the DVC resorts (or Disney Collection on points).

When you first show up to SSR, the guard will ask your name and you'll have to give him your ID so he can verify it and check it with the guest list. Then, you'll go up to the main area for check-in. That area only has 30 minute parking as it's for check-in/out and for people needing front desk assistance mainly. The front desk will check you in and in your folder, they'll give you a 1/2 sheet of paper that is your printed parking pass to place in your car to show you're staying on property. It will shows your dates of your stay.

From then on, at the parks, they will see it on your dashboard and just wave you into the parks (no paying). At the resort, from then on, you will be waved into SSR if you go through the manned side, or you can now use your KTTW card to gain entry into the resort on the non-manned side :)

hth!!!

Just to clarify, parking at the parks is free to ALL WDW resort guests, DVC members or not. It is a perk of being an onsite guest, not for being a DVC member.

So, even if you go and stay at WDW as a cash guests, you would not be required to pay at the parks. Your resort parking pass is what waives the fee.

Welcome Home new member. Having a car should make things easier with the group you are traveling with.

Have a great time! :woohoo:
